My major in history has given me the skills to conduct effective research, through both primary and secondary sources. My coursework in museum studies gave me extensive experience in the handling of a wide range of artifacts, proper care of museum collections, and an ability to adhere to collections policies. I have strong experience with cataloging, writing descriptions, and taking photos of a wide range of artifacts. When given a task I work hard to complete it and get it done in an efficient manner. Working as a team is paramount and being able to communicate well with others is a very important asset for myself.
EXPERIENCE
Server/cook/Stock Team Leader Merril Residential Restaurant
AUGUST 2015-MAY 2019
Working as a team was crucial to ensure everything was done correctly and efficiently. Working as Stock Team Leader my team and I were responsible for getting all product where it needed to be, rotating old product so that nothing would be wasted, and making sure everything we had was supposed to be there. Good communication was paramount, if there was an issue it was reported and handled professionally and efficiently. My job as a cook/server required you to move fast while paying attention to make sure each dish was prepared correctly for the customer.15 hours worker per week.
Parts Trimmer/Machine Operator Brillcast LLC.

My job here required me to move fast and observe/trim parts that were coming off the machines to ensure that they were ready to ship out to customers. My time here included operating different machines, making sure they stayed up and running, trimming, and finishing parts. I trimmed parts as they came out of the machines and boxed them up so they could be sent to quality control before being sent out to customers. 40 hours worked per week.
Collections/Archives Intern Rockford Area Museum
MAY 2018-AUGUST 2018
This internship gave me extensive experience working in museum archives. Worked with the archive’s director going through recently donated collections and reorganizing the archives. I completed several research requests for clients and residents regarding local businesses and residents’ homes, completed all research for the museum’s newsletter. Worked with the directors setting up new exhibits and reorganizing existing exhibits. Handled numerous donations from residents. Moved and transferred inventory to and from the collection’s storage facility. Helped organize and run events. Helped promote museum events through local businesses. 22 hours worked per week.
Online Auction Production Associate Rock Island Auction Company
JUNE 2019-PRESENT
This position requires multiple steps all the way from verifying that all inventory is present to getting every item setup properly to be packed and shipped to clients. The main duties associated with this position are photographing each item for the auction, writing descriptions and putting estimates on items for sale, lot numbering and organizing the inventory by type and lot number in a safe and efficient manner, and setting auction inventory for clients to preview. 40 hours worked per week.

BACHELORS
I majored in History with a minor in Museum Studies. I graduated in May of 2019. My GPA overall was 3.17. My history courses gave me the knowledge and ability to conduct historical research efficiently through both primary and secondary sources. The museum studies program gave me extensive training in the handling, care, and practices associated with museum collections.
COMMUNICATION
Working as a part of a team is essential to any position. Being able to communicate well and work with others is a strong skill of mine.
LEADERSHIP
I participated in the leadership safari program at Central Michigan University. During this program we conducted many team building exercises/volunteer programs. One of the many programs was packing meals for relief efforts around the world.
