Industrial experience:

Worked as an Associate Neurophysiologist for Nielsen India Private Limited(R&D,Bangalore) for 2 years 9months Nielsen is a Global market research firm. I am working as an Associate Neurophysiologist, in the consumer neuroscience department which involves reading of a subconscious mind of a person with the help of neuroscience methodologies, software’s and instruments. I collect the human brain data, using the electrode system and in a conditioned lab, and I have travelled most of the locations in India, during different projects’ have worked For clients from FMCG,Healthcare, Media, Cosmetics and many more. I work on remote location or labs depending on client projects, Capturing the first emotion which comes to the person when he looks at the presentation on TV/projector using Electroencephalography, Facial action coding, Eye tracking .I also work for some of the total consumer experience studies. I try to collect the data quality which is above 80 % and once data is collected is being uploaded to the signal processing group for the scores, emotions and it is thus converted as a client readable format,with the help of neuroscientists. I am also a part of the team which maintains Neuro data base management for ad-hoc studies .I have an experience in troubleshooting the equipments and neuro softwares.

I have also taken care of the end to end process, during fieldworks for the Client Projects. Maintained inventory keeping Completed some of the neuroscience modules.

This work being my first corporate job has been very interesting and got me an exposure to advanced neuroscience methods. Worked as a project fellow for my M tech project titled ”Modification of palladium with boron for selective hydrogenation of α-β unsaturated aldehydes” at Poornaprajna institute of scientific research, at Material sciences department,Devanahalli, Bangalore.(1 yr) The proposed project was funded by DST, india -Palladium nanoparticles were synthesized using thermal decomposition method and the polyol method of chemical precursors in the presence or absence of surfactants .Characterization were carried out using SEM,TEM,XRD and for the incorporation of boron into palladium was confirmed using XPS spectroscopy. There were about 7 catalysts prepared and four of them were subjected to hydrogenation, their activity and selectivity was compared so as to realize their importance in the hydrogenation reactions.(Pd/C,Pd-B/C, Pd/Al2O3,, Pd-B/Al2O3,,).Catalysts gave a good application in the fragrance and the fine chemical industry and was further carried out in the HMF reactions as well.The challenging catalyst was to dope the Pd-B/C and compare its activity with Pd/C

.Hydrogenation reactions were carried out in a high pressure reactor with a pressure extending more than 5 bars. Skill Sets
