Sara Wilson
To whom it may concern:
My name is Sara Wilson, I am 34 years old, from Leduc, AB. I have 4 years experience as an Operations Coordinator for Aluma Systems for Western Canada. I shipped and received trucks to and from our work sites, posted shipping and receiving tickets, kept track of inventory, and sourced equipment for upcoming jobs. I kept track of the log books, and helped with the customs paperwork when sending material to the states, and sometimes even to overseas. Used computer systems including Profield, NexGen, Microsoft Word and Excel. I'm hard working, a team player, reliable, coachable, and I get-er done! After my exerience with Aluma I switched careers to a scaffolder, but have found the industry to be very off-and on for work. I am looking for a reliable job, with a great team!

Operations Coordinator, Western Canada, Aluma Systems, Edmonton, 2007-2013
I was in charge of shipping and receiving all trucks within Western Canada to and from all sites. I processed all documents for sites, trucking, and internal copies which included inter branch transfers from other Aluma locations within all of North America as well as sourced equipment from other scaffold companies.
I started in the yard as a labourer and a forklift operator in 2007. Aluma was having issues with entering receivers, tracking loads, and documentation. I worked with our receiving foreman to revamp our receiving processes. The improvements in job files impressed the company, resulting in my promotion to Operations Coordinator in 2009.
Scheduled and delivered on site scaffolding equipment for the construction of The Edmonton Clinic South, with a collective team effort we received a Special Achievement Award from PCL Construction Management recognizing our contribution from 2008-2012.
Designed a more intricate shipping and receiving log system, which tracked how much money was being spent on freight versus how much we were rebilling, as we were only recovering a low percentage of the freight costs. I created a bar graph to track improvement in freight costs compared to billing, with the goal of increasing our recoverable percentage in this area.
When our business adinistrator left the company, I took over her safety duties. I ran the office safety meetings, conducted monthly meetings, and prepared minutes. Also worked with the yard foreman to arrange yard inspections, and led the yard safety meetings, and composed minutes. Provided yearly safety documents to the Director of Safety for North America to assist in accomplishing gold in our gold link audit in 2010.
In 2011 to 2012 I guided and helped manage our yard move from our 17 street location to our temporary 50th street location with our IS division. Upon relocating I was the first one to be placed at 50the street, as our new location was not ready for possession. When our final move to our new facility started I was the first one sent over to carry out the final processes of the move, while continuing regular business activities.
Experienced on site training with sales and customers. Observed how equipment was used on sites, which allowed me to oversee The Edmonton Clinic South project from original shipper to final completion. I also went to other sites including the J22 Building during mid production which helped me to analyze approximate equipment needed to be supplied to the customer for a timely complection of the project.
I was a member of the Social Committee where I helped organize and participated in setting up annual golf tournaments, Christmas parties, and other Aluma social events.
Due to my customer service skills, I was personally invited to such events as PCL's Customer Appreciation BBQ, NIC's Golf Tournament, and Aecon's Golf Tournament.
Labourer, Skyway Canada, 2004-2007
I started in the yard as a labourer, learned the equipment and was then trained on the forklift.
I developed my skills for offloading and loading trucks.
Was given timed tasks involving receivers, rearranging the yard, and servicing equipment.
Became a first year scaffolder as a member of the CLAC union.
Supervisor, A&W, Leduc 2001-2004
Began employment as a cashier, continued training in other aspects of the restaurant. Gained knowledge and respect from owners, manager, and fellow workers. Promoted to supervisor and was in charge of opening and closing the restaurant, and the cashing out of tills.
