A FEW CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Directed overhaul of all business units for a long term customer. The business was profitable but was long overdue for better pricing, evaluation of services and solutions to address how the business had changed over the years. This was completed before COVID caused business downturn and set the business on a solid foundation for however long is needed

Recruited to evaluate and build supply chain solutions and service offerings to existing clients and build best in class procurement strategy using analytics and score carding that effectively identify most crucial key performance indicators (KPI’s)

Colloborated with IT personnel to re-build customer bid tool, performance measurement and data bases. Using my specifications we worked together to produce a more robust and accurate model that was more user friendly and incorporated better functionality

Planned and implemented numerous transportation bid sourcing events for Fortune 500 companies. Responsible for building a team of engineers and analysts to assist in taking our clients transportation needs to a competitive bid environment. The range of customer traffic lanes were from 16,000 to 80,000 annual shipments and accounted for an average savings of 8 % per customer. The actual savings realized per customer ranged from $144K to $1.2 million annually.

Established Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for all procurement events, select all key personnel, develop bid strategy, and create the appropriate bid environment. By streamlining the processes, cycle time for bid events was reduced by 25% and total hours all team members were engaged was also reduced.

Generated an additional annual savings of $2.6 million in 12 months by converting traditional over the road truckload shipments to Intermodal rail shipments with minimal to no change in customer product delivery to distribution centers. An added benefit was less time warehousing product which increased the efficiency of customer supply chains.

Built corporate Environmental program from the ground up. Previously, there was not a program in place. Provided a business case to Executive review team showing the benefits that could be realized, selected a strategy and team to help implement our program and have guided our company to back to back wins as Environmental Protection Agency SmartWay Partnership Award winner. As a result of the partnership, the company was able to receive more favorable fuel payment terms with customers. Additionally, we were able to work closely with the SmartWay/EPA team to develop the next generation of the program and have an opportunity to influence partner standards and assume a leadership role.

Standardized carrier score card metrics to more accurately rate and rank transportation companies using a variety of factors including on-time service, billing accuracy, claims resolution and safety. This allows employees to evaluate and select better service providers with a simple data query in a matter of minutes as opposed to searching through multiple sources and reports that used to take several hours in some cases.

Organized and planned the supplier symposium the past several years, to bring together key vendors and suppliers. This event has fostered stronger ties to our most critical suppliers and as market conditions fluctuate has given all parties a bond that helped key executives work together and create solutions to problems that have negatively impacted business in the past.
