Dear Employer:
I am pleased to submit my resume in consideration as a Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher. I currently hold a (TCD) Technical College Diploma, Associate’s Degree and TCC. I am a recent 2020 graduate from Mercer University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
I am pleased to also include that I have successfully completed the 40 Hours of Director’s Training. With obtaining this credential; it has allowed me to become more familiar with the operational knowledge of running a high quality child care facility. I have over sixteen years of classroom experience with children ages 6weeks to school age children, and the desire to provide all students with an excellent education. I believe that all children can learn in which they learn in different developmental stages. I believe that children are like flowers that need to be nurtured, feed and cared for in order to excel. My goal as an educator is to give children the best learning experience possible to become productive citizens in today’s society. I am confident in my ability to provide quality service that your school provides.
As my resume will demonstrate, my teaching career has been geared towards the empowerment of young children. I have a strong passion for educating young minds and helping them blossom into well-rounded, responsible individuals. Throughout the course of my career, I have had a wonderful opportunity to teach to diverse groups of children including those with learning disabilities, those which performed at grade level, and those who were gifted and exceptional. I have also had the opportunity to assess children and providing an EIP report to document student’s progress. As a result, I have become proficient at designing creative and stimulating lesson plans, which accommodates multiple intelligences, bring a hand-on approach to learning, and keeps the children interested and focused. I am proficient at managing small groups and observing children’s progress and development. I implement fun classroom projects for the participation of the parent’s help. I incorporate family themes, community helpers, transportation, food services, animals and a variety of other integrated thematic units. I change bulletin boards on a monthly basis to keep the parents informed of monthly events and themes.
On my bulletin boards I apply the standard, task, objective, rubric and circumstance and evidence of education of learning. I apply commentaries to show students mastery of the standard. I collect real and non-real items to attach to the boards to show students different experiences. I use lots of materials from nature walks and implements photos of classroom experiments. I actively change my objectives that coincide with the current lesson being implemented. I actively engage the students with fun activities from the Children’s Museum Of Atlanta. In the learning domain of Mathematics, I promote children’s learning through a variety of approaches. I encourage a variety of manipulatives
My greatest strengths include inspiring and motivating children. I actively engaged their minds by incorporating a variety of Manipulatives, enjoyable activities, and cooperative learning. I also have a bond and building relationship to cope with challenging behaviors. Furthermore, I hold parent and teacher conferences on a regular basis to promote participation in the educational process as well as promoting education in the home. I hope that my resume, credentials, and cover letter bring you to a rapid choice during your hiring process.
I look forward with great anticipation to discuss the many ways in which I would be the best candidate for your educational program. Thanking you in advance for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Taneika Miliam
