To ensure the site is safe to work in from moving vehicles and other workers.

To ensure workers are in good health.

To ensure workers observe a break period and resume at the right time.

To ensure that the necessary documents /permit to work are available and are up-date.

To educate everybody on the site of the risk and hazards involved in the job being done.
