EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE PRODUCTION OF WATER FROM ATMOSPHERIC AIR USING DESICCANT MATERIAL WITH SOLAR CONCENTRATOR - THERMAL
Jan 2020 - Present
FEM ON CIRCULAR HYPER ELASTIC MEMBRANE WITH ELASTIC FOUNDATION - DESIGN Jul 2019 - Oct 2019 Most of the countries in the world are facing a problem of water crisis. Because of pure water scarcity in many regions worldwide, atmospheric water generation looks to be one of the most promising methods for getting pure water. In this project, our aim is to find an alternate method to extract large quantity of fresh water from atmospheric air by using desiccant materials. Desiccant material absorbs moisture from the air during night time and then on regeneration, it releases water in the form of water vapours which it had stored earlier. That water is then collected separately in a container. For regeneration, we have used the renewable solar energy obtained from Schefflar type solar concentrator. This work investigates the finite element analysis of the behavior of a flat, circular membrane inflated by an incompressible fluid over elastic foundations. The membrane is assumed to be homogeneous, elastic, and isotropic. The membrane was modelled as neo-Hookean to describe the membrane used in the fem analysis. he results showed that for the same amount of liquid inserted, there is considerably less pressure inside the membrane over the elastic foundation and a smaller superficial area for the expanded membrane. This work focused on studying the deformation occurred in the implant with different thicknesses of the elastic base and pressures applied. Determining the deformation took place in the skins of different age group people as the thickness of epidermis varies with age through designing of the different samples of skins and analyzing them upon the membrane of the implant.
