Job Description

As PAINTING INSPECTOR

Monitoring & ensuring all Painting & blasting related works were carried out to the contract specification procedures and quality control plans.

Monitoring and maintaining records of calibration of measuring & monitoring devices of painting works

Checking everyday weather condition, temperature, humidity prior to start working, materials product validity and expiry date with batch certificate.

Highly experienced in handling quality control test kits like surface profile test, DFT & WFT gauge, temperature gauge (sling psychrometer &dew point calculator),surface temperature gauge, holiday test, chloride test.

Finding an all coating defects and solve it.

As WELDING INSPECTOR

Review of Documents of QA/QC plans and procedures to verify its Execution contractor’s and Client’s contractual obligations

Review inspection and test plans for hold, witness and surveillance points for client, Contractor and sub-contractor.

Conduct an inspection of Material as per mill certificate base on purchase order and verifying and Approved for Released base.

Monitoring and surveillance inspection of all piping works and welding activities/structural works and ensure all welding and piping are performed in accordance with relevant ITP’s and QCP Procedure, drawings, WPS’s applicable code and project specification.

Perform inspection of fit-up and welding activities and report any deviation to Subcontractors Supervisors and foremen.

Identifying the Non-conformance and prepare NCR for violation and submit to the QC manager for further action.

Check and monitor the status of all test packages during punch listing, to evaluate all “A” items and “B” items for punch clearing.

Witness of Hydrostatic and Pneumatic test for Above Ground and underground pipelines.

Witnessing MPI, PT, & PMI for completed and repair welds.

Monitoring PWHT activities at site & fab shop and evaluating PWHT charts.

GRE Underground Piping jointing inspection (Bonding, heating, O-Ring type) and witness hydro testing (for pressurized lines (FW & SW) and Gravity test for non-pressurized lines (AOC, OD).

Responsible for closing of Log book entries and coordinating with Reinstatement activities.

Liaise with contractor QC to ensure recognition of ITP hold point inspection.

Follow up the quality records during the progress of inspection and to hand in the same to the QC.

Responsible for the inspection, in accordance with specification and procedures of the piping erections and the compilation / retention of reports and records.

To coordinate with subcontractor QC inspector about inspection findings during installation of piping works and attend to the problem of workers to ensure the quality has been attended.

Preparing test pack and checking isometrics, P&ID and all necessary documents for onshore testing.

Conducts routine inspection for all piping system to ensure conformity with plans, specification design and line completeness.

Assigned in fabrication shop, checking the fit-up weld gap, true length of the spools and material used as per isometric drawings.

Preparatory work for internal inspection, inspection checklist, records, reports, and nondestructive tests.

To check welder’s qualification and welding consumables.

To monitor material handling and storage from jobsite to ensure quality of piping prior for erection. Stainless pipe and Carbon steel piping must be separated to avoid corrosion.

WATER FREE Equipment, Materials, piping components, Instruments, and Accessories shall be taken SPECIAL CARE such as wrapping, sealing or water free packing and these items shall be stored in water free area. And also Vendor shall confirm that these items are protected/ sealed properly before shipping and shall identify the items for water free it.

To ensure stainless steel/ alloys, equipment, components and materials shall be protected under cover and not in contact with the soil. In addition, austenitic stainless steels shall not be exposed to salt water or salt spray.

To check and monitor all piping end and must be cover to avoid debris coming inside, flanges must be protected by hard wood to avoid damage.
