PR AND MARKETING FOR CU BOULDER TODAY
(MEDIA RELATIONS)
AMBASSADOR FOR KIND SNACKS
While at Local News Now, I worked with three different new sites in the regional D.C. area. I was responsible for seeking out story ideas, sorting through press releases, managing Wordpress/ SEO and writing stories that benefited the community. I served as a "unicorn journalist" -- with many talents and responsibilities. During my time with Law Week Colorado, I served as a civil rights reporter and spent time at law schools throughout the state, covering summits and upcoming legislation. I was recruited for an investigative reporting project examining bias and the philosophy of hate in America. For eight months, we researched extremist groups and spoke with advocacy groups like the ACLU. I served as a reporter, photographer and videographer. I helped the department of strategic relations connect with the student body at CU Boulder by writing for a weekly newsletter highlighting student campaigns and activities which promoted mental health, mindfulness and eco-friendliness. I held this position for four years and stuck to varous marketing and branding standards to ensure consistency. For Kind Snacks, I had the opportunity to live the "kind promise" by encouraging acts of kindness on campus and acting as the brand face at popular events. I would host philanthropies that encouraged body positivity and kindness. I was known as the "kind girl" for three years. I encouraged people to follow us on social media and engage with prompts.
August 2015 to May 2019 -- Journalism, Political Science, Global Media This strategic partnership allowed me to network with media professionals and content creators from across the US. We discussed ethics, best practices, coding for blogs and learned how to use unique social media platforms.
Looking toward the future, I
want to be part of a team that
encourages the balance of
ambition and mindfulness for
both employees and
consumers. In my work, I
want to produce content that
improves the lives of
consumers by helping them
explore a new perspective or
idea.

INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP AMBASSADOR
For the University of Colorado I accepted a scholarship position helping to facilitate the growth of a brand-new initiative encouraging graduate and undergraduate students from all walks of life to solve problems facing society through the creation of startups. I helped to run the social media, plan events and spread the word about the program. I also served on a "seed funding board" to fund projects and help ask critical questions that guided students in the direction of success . ALPHA CHI OMEGA - NU CHAPTER
I held various positions on the executive board including academics, marketing and personal development.
