Design and detailing of plastic injection molds and

related components using Autocad and Creo (Pro-E)

software. Work involved design of cores, cavities, mold

bases, hot runner systems, cooling systems, and ejector

systems. Also production of specialized quality-control

drawings and product drawings for manufacturing.

Position: Project Engineer

Design of fluid strainers, fluid filters, and pressure vessels.

These products are custom fabricated for the process industries.

Design of special-purpose vessels such as anti-pulsation tanks

for gas compression. Design of centrifugal separators. All

vessels designed in accordance with the A.S.M.E.

Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Code calculations

performed with the aid of computer analysis using

a proprietary program.

Position: Design Engineer

Design, development, and testing of hydraulic products

for control of energy, vibration, linear and rotary motion.

These units are designed to meet customer

requirements. Applications engineering for new O.E.M.

uses of these products.

12/1979 – 4/1982: Taylor Devices Inc., 200 Taylor Drive, North

Tonawanda, NY 14120

Position: Design and Test Engineer

Development and design of shock absorbers, shock isolation

systems, and liquid compressible springs for industrial and

aerospace applications. These products utilize molecular

compressibility. Work included dynamic testing of these

systems at drop-test facility. The facility is equipped with

a CRT storage oscilloscope plus force and displacement

transducers for impulse analysis.
