Principle Job Responsibilities
To manage the entire Operations including Production, Maintenance, Administration of a Factory and to maintain Visual, Social, Technical, Economical, Statutory compliance at the Factory, which includes but not limited to the following:-
Spearheading the complete Plant Operations, Engineering functions, Production Plan/Control, Maintenance Management, General Administration including preparation/implementing Policies, allocation and optimum utilisation of resources like Manpower/Material, meeting Production targets on Time, QC, SHE, packaging, including dispatch.
Accountable for performance of the Plant in conformity with the Operational, Technical, Economic and Commercial Goals/Targets and leading the Production activities, monitoring overall Operations for ensuring timely completion (TAT).
Responsible for Daily Production Schedule (DPS) preparation and achievement, coordinating with all areas of the Organization for accurate resource availability (Manpower, Machinery functioning, Raw/Packaging material and Energy) to enable production as per planned schedules without any interruption.
Enforcing the Quality, productivity improvement systems and Procedures to facilitate smooth functioning.
Overseeing all aspects of the daily Operations to ensure Plant is running in a desired manner, safely and cost effectively.
Generate MIS reports, analyses, correct any short comes if any and submit to the Authorities with recommendations.
Advise the Management about Production planning, Product specifications, Plant capabilities, Manpower utilisation, Training needs and provides updates on day to day issues if any, related to the Factory and solutions for the same.
Implementing effective schedules for timely procurement of Machinery, Equipment, and Spare Parts to meet production targets, estimating production cost and implements Cost saving methods.
Monitor and Plan, ensure to implement Preventive/Scheduled Maintenance programs to achieve ZERO defects for all Equipments in the Factory with the support of Maintenance Department.
Highly experienced in Periodic/Preventive/Scheduled Maintenance of all sort of Machinery including Plant Utilities, ensure installation of new Machines and commissioning, training the Personnel on them.
Report on manufacturing activities on a regular basis to the Management, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and analyzing cost of Production with the help of financial data..
Ensuring that the Quality system established is improved, implemented and maintained in accordance with the standards.
Ensure that the capabilities needed to meet objectives in Capacity, Technology, Product Quality, Efficiency betterment and Infrastructure improvement are identified and appropriately established.
Assuring the achievement of Organizational targets as per the budgeted parameters.
Maintain all Documents such as indents, stock accounts, bill copies, requisitions, permissions, reports and submit to appropriate Departments like internal Audit, Administration, Operations, etc… on demand as per the Management policy.
Increase operational effectiveness, reduce down times on the machine, maintaining the quality parameters, manage and execute improvement with cost reduction plans.
Ensure proper Root Cause/Recurring Defect Analysis (RCA/RDA), effective implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and ensure Maintenance breakdown carried out on Time for effective TAT.
To manage, improve; execute Maintenance, Inspection, shut-down/turn-around activities and Projects for the entire Plant.
Ensure statutory compliance through effective implementation of requirements and liaison with concerned Officials
Identify Training needs, provide on job training (OJT) for Production/Maintenance Staff, monitor/review Training effectiveness, improve the skills/competency of the Team and with the help of HRD ensure to recruit qualified Personnel.
Identify right Suppliers for right quality Spare Parts, negotiate and coordinate with Suppliers/Contractors to obtain correct supplies and further to ensure proper implementation of Contracts as per the prevailing norms.
Ensuring Electrical/Instrument Maintenance as per the best practices, corporate policy and regulatory requirements.
Maximise value addition through improvements in efficiency and control of costs.
Responsible for implementation of new Projects and developments (Product/Processes) in the Plant area.
Ensure Store Department is holding all day to day/emergency essentials stock for the Plant and inventory is up-to-date.
Handled various sub Contractors/Consultants, preparation/ scrutinisation Contract Documents and been involved in cost Negotiations with Contractors/Vendors, Vendor Management/Development.
Ensure proper upkeep of Health, Safety, Environment, First aid systems within the Plant are in accordance with Regulations, Fire and Life Safety systems are working at its optimum Parameters, Security of Campus is intact, proper Housekeeping maintained and Premises hygiene are well maintained.
Act as a single point of contact for Management/Staffs/Suppliers/Authorities and to ensure the proper flow of communication from the higher Management to lower Teams and vice versa.
Responsible for maintaining the disciplines and punctuality required and to ensure those disciplines are met at all times.
To understand strengths and weaknesses of multicultural workforces and maintain customary codes, as many cultures have specific etiquette around the way they communicate and to ensure all are given priorities to maintain it.
