Clinical experience:

Currently working as a Clinical fellow at Interdepartmental Division of Critical Care Medicine at University Health Network and Mount Sinai Hospital,Toronto from July 2019 till present which is slated to end in June 2020.Considered as one of the leading centre worldwide for critical care training and research, I have had extensive exposure to Extracorporeal life support, transplant critical care, neurocritical care and obstetric critical care during my stint here in Toronto.Also participated in academic activities such as teaching residents, journal clubs and attended the annual Canadian Critical Care Forum 2019 during this period.

Worked as an Associate Consultant at Manipal Hospitals,New Delhi in the Department of Critical Care Medicine from Jan 2019 till June 2019.

Worked as Critical Care Medicine resident (D.M) at AIIMS, New Delhi, which is a tertiary care institute and the premier medical institute of India. The D.M. course is of three years (thirty-six months) duration for attaining specialization in Critical Care medicine after completion of specialty training (MD anesthesiology). It involves caring regularly for patients admitted in various Critical Care units including medical, surgical, obstetric, trauma, cardiac and neurological units and the Emergency department both independently and under supervision. Regular posting by rotation in medical and postsurgical ICU (approximately 24 months), trauma and neurosurgical ICU (6 months), neurology ICU and stroke units (1 month), cardiac ICU and echocardiography lab (2 month), paediatric ICU (2 months), dialysis (RRT) unit and radiology conferences. I have completed a research work entitled “Integrated Ultrasound Protocol in predicting Weaning Success and Failure: A Prospective Observational Study” during this period which was presented at ESICM Lives 31

During the training period, I have acquired skills and expertise in various clinical procedures which include:

o Airway management

o Flexible fibreoptic bronchoscopy

o Invasive vascular access (central and arterial lines both landmark and by USG guidance)

o Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (basic and advanced) o Intercostal drain and pigtail catheter insertion 3

o Non-invasive cardiac output measurement and monitoring o Point of care ultrasonography

o Percutaneous dilatational tracheostomy
