Executed Project Monitoring & Control involves monthly & stage wise Monitoring of Plan Approval, Survey and Financial (Invoice Management) status at various stages like Steel cutting, Keel laying, Launching, Main engine installation onboard, Sea trials & Delivery as per Agreement. Also, to follow up on outstanding remarks/comments with shipyard at an interval of one month.

Maintained overall coordination between Plan approval Centre, Survey Station and Shipyard to meet the Schedule at each stage of construction. Risk assessment to identify and mitigate the risks with proactive approach. Obtain Customer Feedback towards service improvement & present the business improvement opportunities to higher management. Also, prepared and presented the lessons learnt from each project.

NEW BUILDING SURVEYS & SUPERVISION

Worked as New building Trainee Surveyor in IRCLASS and Production/Quality Control Engineer in Shipyard for General Cargo Ships, Supply Vessels, Indian Navy barge & Tugs.

New Building Surveyor

Coordinating with Shipyard, Client Representatives and Class to ensure that the vessel is built in accordance to the Class Rules and progress of the project is as per schedule.

Hull survey – From Fit up inspection to dry survey; to ensure that the hull is being built in accordance with Class approved drawings and rules. Scope includes the verification and testing of material used, reviewing NDT Plans and reports, etc.

Machinery & Electrical Surveys. Also, attended Inclining Experiment, Basin & Sea trials.

Coordinating with Yards’ Quality Assurance to resolve all technical issues, to complete the project within stipulated time and with meeting all the requirements of class.

Production & Quality Control Engineer

Raw Material Inspection.

Hull inspection, Pre-Fabrication, Fabrication, Sub-Assembly, Assembly, Block & Modular Stages.

Generation of Nesting Plan for Hull Blocks, Monitoring of surface preparation & Painting.

Welding: To develop WPS, WPQ, PQR tests for plates, piping and different grades of materials, etc. and obtain approval of classification society.

Visual & Non-Destructive tests on welding at fabrication and erection stages.

Inspection of outfitting items of the ship at various stages at Vendor’s premises.

Overall supervision of materials, manpower and reporting to Yard Manager.

According to requirement of the project, prepare work schedule for time management.

Liaison with Class Surveyor, Owner representatives and Statutory Authority.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION SERVICES FOR NEW BUILDING VESSELS:

Executed “Preparation of Technical Specification” in liaison with machinery & electrical experts for New Building vessels Coastal Bulk Carriers (06 vessels series) which includes following:

Description of General Provisions, Principal Dimensions, Deadweight & Capacities and Complement.

Preparation of General Arrangement, Preliminary Midship Section plan, List of Equipment & Maker’s List. Description of Material & Workmanship.

Requirements of Classification, Rules & Regulations and Certificates.

Detailed description of Hull & it’s appendages, Material Protection, Cathodic Protection, Hull Outfitting, Accommodation Outfitting, Hull Piping Systems, E/R Machineries & it’s systems, Automation, Electrical Equipment including Radio & Navigation systems.

List of Hull, Machinery & Electrical drawings to be obtained approval from Classification Society, Owner & Statutory Authority (as applicable).
