Program Manager for the Controls Division of SSI working on both new product introduction and legacy products (those already in production). Key Account Business Development Manager/Product Manager Sept 2010 – April 2013
Was a member of the Customized Power Electronics group of Danfoss Power Electronics. Key account customers included Liebherr and Ingersoll-Rand. Liebherr, based out of Biberach, Germany, is a supplier of container cranes to ports around the world. Ingersoll-Rand is a global leader in air compressor systems. Customer relations and increased market share were key focal points.
Successfully led a 10-member cross-functional Task Force Team that led to the root cause issue with E-Frame drives in cranes, leading to serial-failure activity. Task force in place for 18 months.
Generated budget (>$500K), built prototypes and test plans, arranged part shipments, and scheduled (13) personnel to travel for (6) weeks in 2012 calendar year to retro-fit (135) drive systems in Ship-to-Shore cranes. Ports were in South Africa, Germany and in England.
The serial failure project came in under budget and ahead of schedule and repaired Danfoss’ image with customer Liebherr.
Chaired bi-weekly teleconference meetings with sales (Germany), quality/production (US), engineering (US/Denmark) and management (Denmark).
