Cover Letter

Dear Hiring Manager,

I’m very appreciative of the opportunity to apply for this medical technologist Laboratory position. I plan on moving to the Atlanta area in August of 2020. My address is one that is not local, but I am willing to relocate to help further improve my personal life and career. My career goal has always been to work in the science and laboratory field, and I believe this opportunity lines up perfectly with my ambitions. Working in this particular field of science can be exciting, and I’m looking forward to learning more about this position.

During my educational journey at Savannah State University. I worked

tediously in my science-based courses to gain training and laboratory experience in both biology and chemistry-based laboratories. During my time at Savannah State University I worked on my team member and leadership skills by being a part of my university’s campus ambassadors’ team. I also served as a shift leader for a local Pizza Hut. My managerial duties included training and mentoring new employees, resolving issues in a promptly manner and executing company policies. My role as a substitute teacher included carrying out instructional and classroom management processes as well as maintaining the atmosphere of the classroom. I then went on to work as a paraprofessional providing instructional and behavioral support for the certified teacher. I am proud to add that I served as an IT Technician Assistant for the Glynn County Public School System where I was responsible for updating computer software, repairing computer hardware and much more. I enjoyed the many challenges I faced during my work experiences which molded me into a hardworking and dedicated employee who aims to achieve company goals for the business I serve.

My passion for science motivated me to attend Savannah State University upon finishing high school. During my studies, I received valuable experience in the laboratory science field that prepared me for my future career. I have recently entered graduate school to obtain a master's degree in public health to further educate myself and reach my future career goals.

Thank you for taking the time to read my cover letter and showing interest in my application. I hope my many different career choices show that I can adapt to any situation, and that I am willing to learn any new technique, job, skill or information. If you have any questions or comments about my resume or cover letter, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Monterious Brennon
