1. FIBER REINFORCED CONCRETE WITH PARTIAL REPLACEMENT OF RECYCLED COARSE AGGREGATES.

At kitsw from January 2019 to April 2019(Full-time)

Description: This project is focused on the experimental program aimed at verifying selected material properties of fibre reinforced concrete in which all of the natural stone aggregates is partially replaced by recycled aggregates – masonry and concrete. The combination of recycled construction and demolition waste, synthetic fibres and binder creates an unusual fibre reinforced concrete; new composite, which offers a wide field of possible use in construction industry. The project presents experimental program and shows results on compressive strength, splitting tensile strength of fibre reinforced concrete.

2. COMPARISON OF INTERFACIAL FRICTIONAL ANGLE BETWEEN ROCK FLOUR AND NON-WOVEN GEOTEXTILE WITH RIVER SAND AND NON-WOVEN GEOTEXTILE:

Description. This project deals with the comparative study of characteristics of sand and rock flour in natural condition and by reinforcing the sand using Geotextile. The index and engineering properties of sand like Specific gravity, Sieve analysis, Relative density and direct shear tests were analyzed in the laboratory for sandy soil and rock flour. To determine the interface friction direct shear test is carried out for sand and rock flour with and without reinforcement under different loading conditions. The type of Geosynthetic reinforcement used for the study is Geotextile and is placed in the soil and rock flour at two different positions and the direct shear test is preceded under various loading conditions.
