Undergraduate — University of California, Davis
Bachelor of Science Aerospace Engineering, Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering
• Expected Grad. - July 2020, GPA: 3.61, Engineering GPA: 3.75 Work Experience
Drivetrain and Manufacturing Engineer, UC Davis Baja SAE September 2017 – April 2020
• Tuning a CVT for Baja SAE (Off-road car build) competitions. Modeled transmission and engine RPM relations with respect to transmission shifting phases using transmission force analysis.
• Designed, coded and built an Arduino Mega and hall-effect sensor tachometer for testing car performance. Device mounted on CVT pulleys for constant RPM outputs on LCD and data logging.
• Manufacturing chromoly steel chassis, aluminum suspension knuckles, hubs (CNC Mill and Lathe). Designed and machined CVT housing with space and competition rules constraints.
• Reviewing overall car design for parts manufacturability, proper tolerancing for assembly and made process plans and CNC codes for manufacturing hubs and knuckles. Performed rapid prototyping for brake caliper mounts, steering arm to knuckle adapter, etc. using 3D printing. Club President, UC Davis Drone Club April 2018 – June 2020
• Leading a team of more than 10 people in designing, building and testing an autonomous high-payload delivery hexacopter and modular eVTOL aircraft for campus faculty research applications.
• Worked independently on designing a ballistic parachute emergency recovery system for drones. Main control system components: accelerometer, 5V relay and servo.
• Establishing new club by founding relations with nearby firms, makerspaces, professors and airfield. AIAA Transport Jet Design Team Lead, Engineering Senior Design January 2019 – June 2020
• Designed for 400 passenger, 3500 nmi range to implement advanced technologies —GE9X turbofan 10:1 bypass ratio engine, hydrogen fuel, variable cant angle winglets etc. Sizing — c.g., static margin, wing-loading programmed using MATLAB.
• Used Python and XFOIL to simulate a collection of airfoils for L/D and laminar flow optimization.
• Simulated aircraft in VSPAero and Flightstream for aerodynamics performance analysis. Aviation Lab Student Manager, CITRIS and the Banatao Institute, Davis June 2018 - Present
• Trained HS students in 3D modeling in Tinkercad, FDM 3D-printing, multirotor UAV assembly & piloting.
• Facilitated FAA funded advanced drone piloting and safety workshops. Awarded 2nd nationally.
• Established Aviation Laboratory — rapid prototyping, drone design, building and testing. Skills

Structural Engineering
• FEM: 1-year experience in modeling
geometry, mesh, load cases in
PATRAN/NASTRAN. Analysis for structural
failure of aircraft wings, satellite etc.
• 3D Euler beam theory applied for
composites analysis on wing and rocket
structures.
