EXPERIENCE
Machinist’s Mate 2nd Class Petty Officer, US Navy, November 2015 – November 2019
Operated, maintained, assembled and disassembled main propulsion machinery equipment: 600 modified 700 pound Boilers, Steam-powered Main Reduction Gears, Main feed pumps, Fuel oil pumps, Forced draft blowers, 100,000 gallons per day Distilling Units and Deaerating feed tanks.
As the Machinery Room WAF specialist, has efficiently processed and managed over 500 Navy Work Authorization Forms during a 6-month DPMA period which led to the ship being ahead of the scheduled timeline.
Expertly created over 1000 Tag-Outs for multiple pieces of equipment to ensure safety of personnel and equipment.
As the divisional training program manager, was able to supervise, train and qualify over 20 personnel which led to overall watch-bill flexibility of multiple underway periods.
Skillfully maintained and repaired over 1000 valves that ensured safe operation of auxiliary equipment and kept the ship mission ready.
