TECHNICAL SKILLS
CAE Softwares : ANSYS Fluent, HyperMesh
CAD Softwares: Creo, SolidWorks 2018, CATIA V5
Basic Softwares: MS Word, Ms Excel, MS PowerPoint ACADEMIC PROJECT PROFIL
Master’s Project : Experimental investigation of air to air cross flow heat exchanger using elliptical tubes bank at 45
0
angle of attack collaboration with (cooling and Heating Division), Thermax Ltd, Pune.
Description : Experimental work on the basis of thermal performance. Calculate the thermal parameter by varying cold air mass flow rate. Investigate the effect of fluid flowing in duct by changing the shape of tube and how much effects of turbulence on heat transfer from hot to cold air. ANSYS software is used for turbulence effect over the tube shape, thermal analysis and heat loss from various sections. Improved all that parameters and validated it with theoretical results. Project : Projects(Design and Analysis) are done simultaneously with masters project, Title: Experimental study of Thermal performance of cross flow heat exchange using elliptical tube bundle.
Software Used: Catia v5, Creo and Ansys fluent
Description: Experimental and numerical investigations of the turbulent (air) flow over bundle of elliptic tubes heat exchanger are carried out. Hot water flowing through elliptic tube bundles heat exchangers with different axis ratios were designed and manufactured in staggered manner. Numerical CFD modeling using finite volume discretization method is conducted to predict the system performance. The results indicated that, increasing the angle of attack clockwise until 90 0
enhances the convective heat transfer coefficient and heat transfer rate considerably. Title: Performance Analysis of Divergent Solar Chimney. Software Used: Solidwork, Hypermesh and Ansys fluent Description: Solar chimney also known as updraft chimney is an alternative renewable energy technology design for power generation. Temperature, pressure drop and mass flow rates at different point of collector and chimney is analyzed by using computational fluid dynamics
(CFD) and components design in CAD software.
Title: Computational study of flow around a bluff body. Software Used: Ansys fluent
Description: Investigate the influence of the flow structure on the drag. Simulations with several turbulence models; have been carried out for the Car body with 25 o
and 35
o
slant angles.
Investigate numerically the flow around the Car body for the different slant angles and results are compared with experimental data. By taking of account the stilts, this model gives a value to less than 3% of the experimental value.
Bachelor’s Project : Experimental study of NOX emission by using NH 3 as a reducing agent.
Software Used: Catia v5 and Solidwork
Description : SolidWorks software is used for modelling the catalytic convertor. Exhaust gases contains lots of harmful gases, so reduce these dangerous gases applying NH3 as a reducing agent. NH3 gas is drop into the catalytic convertor (mixing chamber) are mixed with NOx. Due to chemical reaction in it, dangerous gases converted into the harmless gases. EXTRA CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES
