Project description & Responsibilities
Creation of a Global AR Non-Spend POA (Point of Arrival) solution will enable American Express to deliver Business capabilities 2-5 times faster with a 60-75% reduction in costs compared to POD (Point of Departure) Financial capture systems and enable streamlined, automated, & efficient processing of CM Non-Spend transactions. New Capability will help in eliminating Manual processes in POD and provide enhanced automated controls for transaction processing through Global AR Non-Spend solution. AMEX decided to do away with regional POD applications and move to a global POA application thereby achieving the below:
Flexible infrastructure
Faster time to market
Reduce development/maintenance cost
Standardized data submission formats
Global settlement processing with very high availability
As a Tech Lead, my responsibilities included:
Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration across multiple client engagements from definition phase through implementation
Suggests alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently, and/or with greater reusability, and / or longer life
Create a regression test suite for comprehensive set of test cases to be executed for each deployment
Execute regression test cases in Arena environment (production mirror) for code certification
Code Deployment Automation for Global AR Non-Spend (Continuous deployment) using LARA automation tool
Build a common UI/Portal where team member can collaborate and use links to all automation tools
Build a capability to download files from PROD to TEST region and scrub production data
Facilitate Agile ceremonies like Sprint backlog refinement, Sprint planning and coordinate with product owner to translate business needs to technical user stories
CA Agile Central tool knowledge to create user stories and link it appropriate features/capabilities for product delivery
Perform Code reviews on all sprints and ensure to maintain the code quality in production
Identifying performance improvement needs of the system and improve the efficiency of the existing systems to meet productivity, quality and customer goals
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and prioritize project requirements
Work with offshore technical lead, senior programmer and programmer for project deliverables
Clarify offshore development teams’ queries on the Business requirements and design documents
Participate and co-ordinate code build, identify build dependencies and deploy code in production
Validate code build with informatica power center tools
Report and track the issues occurred in the project through CA Agile Central defect tracking tool
Review work objects delivered from Offshore before sending to client
Ensure projects are executed using the appropriate methodologies and best practices in accordance with the SDLC agile methodology
Oversee implementation of production rollout of the project
Prepare required user-level and program-level documentation
Apply significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients
Recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions
Attending bi-weekly meeting with the senior managers
Generating Monthly reports and presentations to present it to the Atos Syntel leadership team
Brainstorming sessions with the project stakeholders to understand the new reporting requirements and perform Gap analysis to identify any additional data needs to satisfy the business request
Coordinate with both onsite and offshore teams and ensure a smooth communication between them
