Managed the Banquet Department which included the Grand Ballroom & 4 smaller conference/meeting rooms where high- end, fine dining events & functions for up to 650 persons were held.

Marketing, selling and scheduling reservations for the conference rooms and banqueting facilities.

Took payment for each function via money order, cheque, cash, debit, or credit card; completed nightly paperwork for billing, inventory & cost purposes.

Managed the food and beverage team by hiring, training, briefing & supervising a total of 28 banquet servers and bartenders.

Created biweekly banquet staff schedules and posted them on our online forum where I communicated regularly with the Food & Beverage team.

Ensured the Grand Ballroom was cleaned and reset properly so as to be ready for the following event(s).

It has not been added to my resume that I was previously an employee of other hotels and restaurants. My father is an executive chef and my mother was a housekeeping manager for years so I have grown up around the Food Service Industry. Working in mostly hotels, restaurants and small businesses has given me the skills required to advance my career in a short time. I am new to the province of Alberta and am originally from Ontario. I am looking forward to new challenges in the province of Alberta and am willing to relocate if the right position were to present itself. Although certain food service positions were not added to my resume because they were over a decade ago, I am more than willing to discuss them if necessary. I am looking forward to new opportunities in this beautiful province and am available to work immediately.
