Marple Newtown School District

Strength and Conditioning Hiring Directors

Dear Directors,

Please accept this letter as my application for the open Strength and Conditioning position at Marple Newtown School District.

I have been fortunate enough in my career thus far to experience a variety of different settings with different roles assigned to me at each one. From the basic internship duties of cleaning and being seen but not heard, to completely restructuring the Latin American program for a professional baseball organization. At each progression of my career, I have learned new ways of doing things and means of handling different situations and people. I am very proud of how much I have grown professionally and personally via the strength and conditioning profession, and my goal is to pass on what I learned to other players, coaches, interns, etc. Along those lines, I never stop learning and molding my craft into what it needs to be. Throughout the years, I have stopped looking at myself as a coach, but more of an educator. I realized that there is so much more I can teach other than just proper lifting techniques and conditioning protocols. Helping athletes realize the importance of being on time and giving maximum effort, to actually being able to educate on more specific strength and conditioning strategies. Obviously, what I can and can not do comes down to the population I am in charge of. Having feel for certain situations and how they may play out based off of peoples’ reactions is extremely important.

The skills I have acquired will be useful for the next step in my career. I am hoping that the next step is at your high school. I am looking forward to a deeper discussion into my experiences specifically if given the opportunity. Thank you for your time, an I am hoping to hear from you soon. Sincerely,

Adam Marso
