Project: LIWA Plastic Project (Oman)

In this project I worked as lead engineer, performed all the activities till the construction of the pipelines. The major activities were pipeline engineering and support to construction team, participated in design review meeting, co-ordinated and resolved the queries of the construction contractor.

The project was mainly related to NGL Extraction Project that includes pipeline line as part of the project. It had two 36" dia gas pipelines of 3 km length.

I also worked on water pipeline project of KOC which was about 200 km length. The size of the pipelines vary from 4" to 24".

Project: Oryx Pipeline Project

Currently with SNC Lavalin Pipeline team in the role of senior engineer, performing pipeline design supervision and ratification of the third party design, Sizing of air release valve and interaction with Vendor to get the calculation ratified.

Assisted Project team in the estimate for the many pipeline proposals with various project phases like FEED, Detail Engineering and concept select.

Project: Multiple Projects (Secondment)

This project was the fast track project ever executed in Shell till now. In the role of pipeline lead, a concept select has been completed for a coded gas pipeline project in the Middle East (Iraq). Provided support in engineering phase (FEED and Detail Engineering) of the project i.e. review and approval of the documents/drawings/calculations generated by the CONTRACTOR.

Responsible for the delivery of pipeline concept select and hydraulics report for two or Multiphase pipeline, basis for design, route map, note for file for Dual Diameter Pipeline Pigging, which was ratified by Technical Authorities i.e. TA-1 and TA-2’s (Process, Operations, Material, Pipelines department).

As pipeline lead involved in design reviews, integrated technical reviews (ITR), desktop studies and operation readiness review (ORR). FEED CONTRACTOR was handed over the concept select deliverables for further engineering with proper technical justification and clarification for the concept selected.

For the concept select phase geographic geologic conditions have been considered in the route evaluation, hydraulics (multiphase) flow assurance, material selection, operability, constructability and cost have been considered.

Project: KAIA Expansion Project: Jet A-1 Fuel Pipeline

In the Role of Pipeline Project /Lead Engineer completed the FEED and Details design of the Aviation fuel pipeline from NJBP to KAIA.

The responsibility involved multi discipline co-ordination, preparation of Basis for design (Pipeline calculations), Pipeline Component Specification, Datasheets, Requisition for Quotation, Alignment sheets, Plot Plan, Layout, Station approach drawings and On-plot Piping/Pipeline General Arrangement Drawings. Also had the responsibility of demonstrating the Mechanical design feasibility during the design review.

This was part of Airport development and expansion project, which main tent was to transport aviation fuel to meet the current and future fuel demand which will be sourced from NJBP. NJBP is located about 7 km from the new Fuel farm. Two (2) nos. 20” diameter dedicated underground pipelines will link the Fuel Farm with NJBP, ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply to the airport.

Project: Dragon Oil Turkmenistan Limited. – EC

In the role of Pipeline Engineer (Project Management consultant) completed the technical assurance and review of the pipeline deliverables. This project awarded by Dragon Oil Turkmenistan Ltd (DOTL), it is engaged in exploration & exploitation of Lam and Zhdanov Fields located about 35 km off Turkmenistan in the Caspian Offshore.

A 30” trunkline will connect BLOCK 5 platform (B005) to the existing onshore Central Process Facilities (CPF). This is a multiphase pipeline with a length of 30 km offshore and 10 km onshore approximately. Atkins worked on the approval of FEED documents from company End.

In the role of Pipeline engineer, and was involved in FEED and Detail Design of the 226 wells and Gather stations revamp project. It was a multi discipline engineering work and involved co-ordination or interface with the different disciplines, client and construction contractor.

Assisted in generation and review of engineering deliverables such as pipeline specifications, datasheets, pipeline calculations i.e. wall thickness, road crossing, Upheaval buckling, elastic bending radius, wall thinning for bends, material requisition(MR), RFQ’s technical bid evaluation, pipeline schematic, review of drawings i.e. pipeline alignment sheets, pipeline crossing schedule and drawings, participation in design reviews, and Pre engineering survey etc.. Technical Surveillance of 40 installations with approximately 2300 km pipeline network which were in a deteriorated condition with reduced processing efficiency.

The facilities were non-compliant with standards/ statutory/ regulatory requirements and had the obsolete technology. To improve the operation efficiency and meet the requirement of International/National Standards / Statutory Regulations it was recommended to replace the existing facility with new, and proper actions were taken during engineering, procurement and construction phase of the project which reduced the impact on environment, HSSE related issues and so on.

In the role of Piping Lead Engineer, completed detail engineering of the tank farm expansion project. Responsibility as lead was to generate and deliver the deliverables such as specification, datasheet, technical bid evaluation, plot plans, key plans, piping general arrangement drawings, nozzle orientation drawings, stress reports, material Take off, isometrics, Tie-in schedule, and perform piping calculations as per ASME B31.3.

The project got highlighted and recognized by in PDO for early completion of detail engineering and Commence of the construction activity.

PNG LNG Gas Pipeline Project: Deputed to Muscat form Jan. 05 2010 to 27 Feb. 2010 as a Pipeline Engineer for review of Front-End Engineering Design (for Critical assessment of the technical details used in the design of the pipelines).

Assam Renewal Project Group A (Pipelines): Depute to Assam for Pre-engineering Survey as a Pipeline Engineer to confirm the location of 226 oil and water injection wells, collecting existing data and preparation of the report.

Nir C Produced water treatment: Deputed to Muscat as Piping Lead Engineer for review of FEED & also attended Design Review conducted by PDO, MML and Alhassan EPC.
