Mokhzal is a trained civil engineer and has served several engineering firm, property development and construction companies throughout Malaysia and Singapore. He started his practice in a civil and structural engineering design firm in 2008 for about a year and later worked in construction field for more than 2 years. He started to involve actively in BIM implementation in 2011 and have worked more than 6 years within BIM related environment focusing on BIM execution in construction projects. He has experience BIM execution for many stages of project including inception, planning, design and construction. His experience in BIM execution started with involvement as a BIM Coordinator for one of the national major infrastruture project worth billions of ringgit (Electrified Double Track Project, EDTP – Gemas to JB) during planning stage. He then expand his experience in executing BIM in a few iconic projects in Singapore and Malaysia as Senior BIM Coordinator and then later as BIM Manager. In recent years, he has been invited by many clients to be the ‘BIM checker’ consultant for projects thoroughout Malaysia. He is also currently actively involved in construction project management focusing on lowering cost of construction while maintaining a highly efficient project execution and delivery utilizing BIM.
