Instrumental in framing the SMP operations and production with respect to optimization of chargemix, alloy additions, power consumption, refractory consumption, process logistics and caster availability.
Planning & handling the achievement of output, cost, efficiency and quality targets, recognizing and monitoring performance, analyses shortfall and abnormalities within the process, implements remedial actions and suggests technical change where necessary.
Contributed in technical scope review and freezing for multi Caster revamping project of Billet and round sections.
Incorporated plans & systems to achieve Company objectives.
Significantly assisting Process engineer and solves process related problems within the Steel Plant.
Working closely with the melt shop & casting shop to evaluate the production performance and recommending corrective action for problems identified.
Coordinating with production Melt shop shift Managers and rolling mill shift Managers reference requirements and advance preparation to meet production targets.
Liaising with maintenance and quality department to solve equipment’s and billet quality problems
Supervising technical project work relating to the Caster.
Accountable for technical changes leading to improved efficiencies and output through variations in operating practices.
Coordination and agree with maintenance agencies in the maintenance plan to reduce plant downtime and achieve the target set out in the strategic plan.
Evaluating the IMS-Documents and forms.
Making sure that other Steel Plant objectives like Cost Reduction, Safety & Environment Standards etc. are achieved.
Ensures that all necessary communication, instructions and agreements related to the department and from Management reaches everyone in the shop.
Effectively imparting necessary training for employees.
Address issues related to employee grievances and administration.
