DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and approval of the NDT procedures
Arrange and co-ordinate NDT activities. Evaluation of NDT results (PT, MT, RT,UT,VT)
In service inspection on vessel, exchanger, heater and pipeline.
During welding, checking essential parameters as per WPS.
Control of storage and certification of consumables.
Identification of material and stamp transfer.
Review and verification of Material certificates and Cutting Plans before Fabrication.
Review WPS as per requirements.
Conducting, witnessing and accepting WQT as per ASME Section IX.
Fit-up inspection, welding inspection and visual inspection.
Verification of pipe fittings and Piping Dimensions.
Review method statement of welding, fabrications and erections and repair procedure.
Monitoring of Pre Heating before Welding.
Verification and approval of heat treatment procedures.
Monitoring Welder Performance and taking corrective action.
Hardness inspection after PWHT.
Verification of PWHT reports with respect to procedures and specifications.
Conduct dimensional inspection as per approved drawing.
Witnessing Ultrasonic flaw detection on fabricated pressure vessels, column, and piping, castings (pipe butt joints, cladded plates) .As per requirements of codes & standards and client specifications.
Familiar in Lamination Checkup, Ultrasonic thickness gauging.

Daily / Weekly / Monthly reporting of QC activities to project management and client
Attending weekly / fortnightly / monthly construction and management meetings.
Interpretation of radiographs
Check and reviewing the materials certificates per the standard codes specifications and project requirements for material receiving inspection.
Checking valid date of all welding Equipment’s Calibration certificates (Welding machine, Ovens, Quivers Etc.)
DEMONSTRATED EXPERTISE IN QC INSPECTION
Witness Welder Qualification Test, Fit-up Inspection, monitoring Preheating and Post Weld Heat Treatment, Visual Inspection for welding as per codes & standards.
Checking the preparation of cutting, bevelling, parent material identity, and all that is not allowed according to the fabrication shop drawings.
