Summary:
I am seeking to advance my career in hospitality, or to gain more experience in office administration work; and to obtain more knowledge for a possible upgrade to a supervisory position with a reputable company. I have over 27 years of customer service and cashier experience, collectively 3 years of hotel experience, and 5 years of office experience. I have been mainly a night auditor for the hotels I have worked, but I am flexible to work all shifts. With my experience in hospitality, I feel that the skills I have obtained can easily transfer to other career opportunities outside the realm of hotels. Some of my other job experiences include retail, banking, record keeping, some light managerial duties, and staff training.
Mission Statement:
I strongly believe in putting guest first. I conduct myself, and my work through the eyes, and perspective of the guest. I have a very professional work ethic and take strong pride in the quality of the duties I perform daily with urgency and attention to detail. I also try to encourage others to put the same pride into their work. I am immensely proud to have found a career in the hospitality industry for I feel it suits me well. If I am hired by your company, it would be very worthwhile. I pride myself on being a fast learner, a team player, and my willingness to go above and beyond for the guests I serve, and the company for which I am employed.
Education:
I attended Grove City High School from the years of 1993 to 1996, and Paul C. Hayes Technical School from 1994 to 1996. Although I did not graduate, I did strive to earn my G.E.D certificate and received my G.E.D in 1998. I briefly attended Southern State Community College in 2002, to begin a degree in Early Childhood Education, however I was unable to complete my courses due to family issues.
Career Related Interests:
Outside of my work duties, I am a very social and charitable person. I have done volunteer work with the homeless, The USO and other Military charities, and in my spare time I like to do independent research and studies on many cultures as far as art, music, food, and traditions. I also enjoy exploring many hidden gems in our own American pop culture. I am an avid lover of history, for which it comes easy to me to make conversations with guests.
