In my nursing career, I have the opportunities to handle and collaboratively on acute and chronic conditions. The following include: cerebrovascular accidents and transient ischemic attack (CVA/TIA), migraine headaches, hypertension, congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation/flutter/arrhythmias, peripheral vascular disease, cor pulmonale, obstructive/restrictive pulmonary disease, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, pneumothorax, lung cancer, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, esophageal reflux, esophagitis, celiac/malabsorption syndrome, gastro-intestinal cancer, small bowel obstruction, pyloric stenosis, abdominal migraine, abdominal abscess, diverticulitis, appendicitis, diabetes, thyroid disorders, pituitary tumors, breast cancer/ovarian cancer/uterine cancer, endometriosis, fibrosis, renal disease with or with dialysis, anemia, leukemia, otitis media & externa, allergic rhinitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis; peri-tonsillar abscess, and few other acute on chronic problems. Some of these conditions are treated medically, conservatively, or may require surgical interventions with post-operative therapies and/or rehabilitation. Depression, anxiety, debility, and/or malnutrition often occurs with the acuity, recurrence and chronicity in some of these conditions. Therefore, treatment plans vary and are individualized with proper referral to optimize care.

Role function:
Administrate population health care according to their health care needs seen in the primary health clinic, which includes diagnosing healthcare diseases and disorders; prescribing diagnostic, therapeutic, and medical interventions (medication prescription); providing continuum of care; provide collaborative care and appropriate referrals.
Perform advanced physical assessment to different age groups and diagnostic procedures such as peripheral line catheterization; parenteral administration of nutrition with adequate caloric needs; urinary catheterization; bladder scan; peritoneal dialysis; punch biopsy; pap smear for cytology; cystoclysis; incision and drainage; and suturing procedures.
