Objective

With almost 30 years, (I started in 1988), in the power, chemical, refinery, and paper industries I have the experience and skills to be an asset to any company. With my problem-solving abilities, strong troubleshooting skills and work ethic, I can easily adjust to the fast paced and changing environments in these industries. I consider myself a team player that is always open to suggestions on how to improve my efficiency while maintaining project schedule and safety. With the 20 plus years I have in commissioning, startup and supervision along with the experience with Ovation, DeltaV, HART, Allen Bradley, Siemens, DCS, PLC and controls I am an asset to any company in these fields. Most of my work history for the past 8-10 years is mainly I&C, but I’m also a very competent Electrician, especially when it comes to controls. Like I’ve stated here, I’m pushing 30 years in this line of work. I’m not the kind of employee that keeps coming to their supervisor with every little problem that comes up saying it can’t be done or it wont work. I don’t stop till the job is done and done right. If I can’t figure it out I’m working with the Engineers or on the phone with the vendor to get the problem solved. The Project was a turnaround after an explosion

Part of my responsibilities were to help construction identity all the unmarked wiring left over from demolition, and designate what cabinet, /drop to pull it into to be terminated.

We added a new Delta V system and there was a lot of new logic and controls, since the plant was very old. I helped with the new motor control logic and rewiring of existing starters and the testing of new controls.

Most all new instrumentation was Endress Hauser, pressure, flow, and temperature, and level. I was responsible for the Commissioning of these instruments.

There were also many older Honeywell and Rosemount transmitters, pressure and temperature, and level that I had to trouble shoot and commission.

I also was responsible for calibration of many different models of Fisher Control Valves.

I was very involved in the trouble shooting and Commissioning of this Plant to the new Delta V DCS system.

7/13/17-5/18/18 Rev1/ Burns McDonnell/ CPV Combined Cycle Power Plant Middletown, NY

I&C/E Commissioning Engineer

Commissioning and troubleshooting of 2 Siemens SGT6 GTG and 1K&N Steam Turbine. 680 MW / 750 MW with Duct Burners.

I calibrated all transmitters on the 2 GTG and STG, Rosemount, Foxboro, and Siemens. t

Set up and Commissioned all control valves and actuator valves on both GTGs & STG

Commissioned and troubleshoot the DC motors on both GTGs & STG

Commissioned both Intakes for the 2 Siemens GTGs.

Commissioned all Lube Oil and Control Oil skids associated with both GTGs & STG

Commissioned Limitorqe and Auma MOV’s associated with the GTG’s and STG and also BOP.

Worked with Electricians to troubleshoot motor control problems.

Worked closely with Siemens Engineers to troubleshoot and work through Performance Testing to achieve project completion.

§Commission and repair damaged or incorrectly installed loops and equipment on Balance of plant systems including fuel gas, service and demineralized water, boiler feed water system, lab. Commission of Bentley Nevada systems.

§Setup and calibration of all CCI valves. Setup block valves and Fisher control valves. Also, calibration of Yokogawa, Magnatrol and Rosemont pressure, level and flow transmitters.

§Continued to stay on project after completion to troubleshoot and assist new Exelon employees to become familiar with new equipment on site.
