PERSONAL BIOGRAPH
My name is Bekele Tsegaselassie. I was born June 3, 1951 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. My father was a lawyer and my mother a house wife. I attended elementary and high school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I graduated from high school in 1970-71.
I came to United States in early 1970’s for further education. I attended my undergraduate studies at Snead State Jr. College in Boaz, Alabama and Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama and graduated in 1977 majoring in Biology minor in Chemistry. I also did my Graduate study at Livingston University which is now called the University of West Alabama and received my masters degree (MAT) in Biology in 1981.
After graduation I moved to Atlanta and worked in varies fields and capacities. In
1991 I found a job related to my field of studies at Fulton County Public Works Water pollution laboratory and that was almost 26 years ago.
I am married with two beautiful children. My oldest son Abel is 27 a graduate of the University of West Georgia majoring in English literature. He is now working at the private sector. He wanted to go to Low school or attend graduate studies in Marketing or Business soon. My youngest daughter Maraki is 24. She has completed undergraduate degree from Full sail University majoring in Music production and Music business in June 2018.
