■ Ensured user privacy and autonomy through frontend and backend authentication measures and React Router, users can only interact with the spot (post reviews, book spots) when browser’s session token matches session token in the database.
■ Implemented a custom search feature using a redux, created a custom route that matches users’ input to the names/locations of all spots.
■ Connected the Rails back end to AWS S3 for media storage and organization, so the app only fetches the data that it needs to.
■ Created each spot with precise latitude and longitude, then used Google Map API to map each spot to its the exact location
