US LOCALISATION RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST, WIPRO LTD — NOVEMBER 2016- MAY 2017 Job role included contacting potential Green Card and permanent residents of the United States, who suited the profiles which were currently held by H1-B visa holders, in order to bring the workforce segregation of Wipro in line with the new norms set by the US Government. Contact was made through phone calls and emails. Initial inquiry followed, to check the candidate’s interest in joining Wipro, after which salary negotia- tion was done. The recruiter’s role concluded after making the initial job offer and hav- ing the candidate accept the given offer.
RECRUITER FOR THE EASTERN EUROPE HIRING TEAM, WIPRO LTD — JUNE 2017- MAY 2018 My tenure as a recruiter in the Eastern Europe Hiring Team included responsibilities such as sourcing fresh candidates for various technical and customer service roles, vendor management, salary negotiation, stakeholder management and candidate en- gagement. It is probably the most challenging role that I had undertaken with Wipro as they were many challenges that I had to face on a daily basis. Some of them were communication gap, cultural differences, resistance from the candidates to engage with a person from an Asian country/unknown company and work culture and legal differences. It was an immensely educating experience though, and it gave me a broader and more wholesome vision and understanding of recruitment and it’s various intricacies.
CAMPUS RECRUITER FOR THE WILP HIRING TEAM, WIPRO LTD — JUNE 2018- MAY 2020 My role in the Campus Hiring Team included collaborating with commerce and science colleges in the Western Region of India (Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan). The work with colleges included- informing the colleges about the job profile on offer, setting up hiring events at the college premises, conducting presenta- tions for the students, conducting the entire selection process, interviewing the stu- dents, sharing the list of selected students with the college, conducting engagement sessions with the selected candidates and conducting the Onboarding Session for the new joiners.
