JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor areas assigned in my responsibility by thorough visits and coordinating with area concerned responsible person.

Conducting weekly Safety meetings with construction and reviewing the performance of workers and steps taken to promote safety culture at site.

Conduct toolbox meeting to share information to the workers about possible hazards in surrounding atmosphere. Selecting safe workers at site and rewarding workers with surprise gifts and cash at site to promote safety culture and encourage worker moral.

Providing awareness training sessions to the workers about Confined space entry, H2S Gas Poisoning effects, Excavation Safety, Heat Stress Campaign and First Aid information.

Conduct weekly safety walk through with Project Management Team and contractors’ construction team.

Site observations regarding near misses and unsafe practices would be documented and taking serious steps to eliminate or reduce near miss cases in sites.

Ensuring compliance with all current legislation, codes of practice and relevant standards.

Investigate accidents and dangerous occurrences.

Serving as the first responder to and investigator of safety incidents and mishaps.

Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing regulatory and compliance data and trends.

Making regular site inspections and producing concise reports for managers on Health and Safety matters.

Carrying out safety inspection and Performing root cause analysis for incident/accident investigations. .

Recording and investigating and accidents or incidents.

Keeping up to date with all new legislation & development in H&S and advising the business of any changes.

Arranging trainings to the worker for awareness about the hazards related with live plant activities.

Referring workers observed on site having not fully understanding of the job to minimize the risk to be injured while doing their jobs.

Arranging emergency drills every two months to provide information to the workers about possible emergency evacuation plan.

Taking care of the Pre-Commissioning activities by checking all the safety requirements and to ensure that everything is in correct position and order.

Ensuring safe practices at site and taking precautions to complete the job safely

Conducting safety meetings with client and contractor to resolve issues related with safety.

Submitting daily observation and follow up to close all the open observation.

Other duties are performed under the guidance and direction of the Supervisor/Manager.

Keep updated documents which enclose regulations and environmental policies

Ensure new hires are orientated to the Construction, and all required documentation is completed accurately and forwarded to the head office.

Review safety obligations of the clients and ensure they are carried out as per the terms of the agreement, and communicated to the Project Manager, Supervisors, Foreman and Safety Advisors.

Ensure Safety Advisors are verifying field staff training and competencies; consult the project management team and Regional Safety Manager for compliance and action plan. Ensure that all incidents are reported immediately. .

Ensure incident corrective actions are followed up and completed.

Participate and assist the supervisors, foreman and safety advisors in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause, and corrective actions where necessary.
