Bedrock Automation is a “start-up” operation. As such my responsibilities were split among the following functions:

Directly responsible for all aspects of implementation, maintenance and operation of the Quality Management System in use in Systems Manufacturing.

In charge of maintaining and monitoring all department operating procedures in use in Systems Manufacturing.

Responsible for management and implementation of requirements of ISO 9001:2008 which includes the following; Systems Manufacturing, Management Representative for Development and Global Customer Service, Internal ISO Audit program.

Manage activities of two Quality Engineers.

Support Reynosa for various requests such as advising on quality issues.

10/2006 – 10/2013 Raytheon Andover, MA

Material Acquisition Manager

Core Team member of Radar Affordability Pilot Project as Database Manager and Information Technology (IT) interface.

Provided all data requirements and training to the Radar Affordability Pilot (RAP) team.

Created tool (Program Performance Report) for financial data analysis and reporting of all programs and Integrated Category Team (ICT) performance. The tool is used extensively by the Finance and Program Management communities and has become the primary means for which to view and report financial information relative to the RAP Team.

Coordinated efforts and requirements of the individual ICT’s with IT which resulted in development of new tools to enhance effectivity and efficiency of the ICT’s.

Provided training and on-going support on any products developed for use with the ICT.

Created and distributed ad-hoc reports on a daily basis by either the ICT’s or Core Team.

10/1980–10/2006 Invensys Foxboro, MA

Commodity Manager (2002 to 2006)

Global commodity management responsibility for approximately $5.0MIL of Printed Circuit Boards and $2.5MIL of Injection Molded and Vacuum Molded Plastics. Responsibility included consolidation to three suppliers from ten while coordinating China sources through the corporate International Procurement Office. Cost reductions realized are $1.2M for PCB’s and $600K for plastics commodity.

Responsible for maintenance and update of Microsoft Access based MRP system which includes all data imports from mainframe application and daily program updates. The net of this activity is a reduction of personnel while increasing employee bandwidth.

Developed a material shortage system that shows specifically what materials are short to daily sales order demand. This system reduced the amount of daily expedite time for Planner/Buyers from as much as four hours down to as little as fifteen minutes. A side benefit to this program is in reduced freight charges.

Designed developed and implemented a Physical Inventory program for the 75kft manufacturing facility located in Reynosa Mexico. This system provides a quick and efficient program which allows multiple user access and provides excellent analysis tools for reconciliation purposes.

Coordinated Ariba (formerly known as Free Markets) electronic sourcing events which yielded a total of $2.5MIL savings in two years. Events include “Request For Information” to “Request For Quote” to “On-Line Auctions”.

Commodity Manager (1996 to 2002)

Managed activities of 3 Buyer/Planners and 2 Supplier Quality Engineers with ultimate responsibility for $30MIL annual purchases of Computers and Computer Peripheral Equipment, Printed Circuit Boards and Software Duplication Services and electronic connectors.

Responsible for new product introduction for all computer related equipment such as Personal Computers, Workstations, RAID, High Performance Networking, Monitors and Flat Panel Displays.

Developed and implemented JIT and JITII concepts in all commodity types from electronics to mechanical parts. Maintained inventory turns in excess of 30 and in some commodities in excess of 50.

Designed and implemented Microsoft Access based procurement system which affords automated scheduling, shortage reporting, purchasing history and supplier performance.

Senior Buyer Planner (1990 – 1996)

Managed day to day procurement of $12MIL of Computer Equipment to include Workstations, Monitors, Printers and Interface Cards and Software Duplication.

Selected software duplication supplier which yielded a 15% cost reduction.

Designed, created and implemented a comprehensive procurement system in dBase 4 language. The system includes modules for JIT Scheduling, Shortage Reporting, Purchasing History and Supplier Performance.

Developed invoice management system used by all Foxboro business units to manage payment of suppliers.
