New Heights: New HEIGHTS is the largest computer system operated and maintained in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). It computes eligibility for 31 categories of assistance with more than 100 different variations. New HEIGHTS is a large-scale, client/server, interactive eligibility determination and benefit issuance system that automates approximately 2421 policies governing more than 100 variations of cash, Medicaid, child care, and food stamp programs. New HEIGHTS provides automated program support and supports the information needs at the state and local office level. Approximately 1000 people use it across DHHS located at State Office, 12 District Offices, and the New Hampshire Works One Stop offices.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Responsible for Legacy Modernization where migrating existing Mainframe (legacy) Cobol Batch to Open Source Micro Focus Cobol Batch using Micro Focus Tool, Unix, Shell Script, Python Script etc.

In Data Warehouse, identifying issue in existing system, developing a PLSQL function, procedure, Package job etc. which in resulted to improved quality of Data Warehouse System, critical tables and Reports which are being created/used on day-to-day basis out of these Tables for Daily use for 1000 of users. Also Supporting Monthly Job cycle and solving issue if occurred during Batch cycle, reporting the incidents on APEX to fix them.
