Working on Prismatic parts and complex processes. I am also part of the global training group and have provided hands on CNC programming training for our customers. Have extensive experience in working directly with tooling suppliers to get the correct tools to produce the parts in tolerance and meet the required cycle time.
Cnc Application Engineer (July 2004-Sep 2012)
Mag-Powertrain (Crosshuller-Excello-Lamb) Port Huron Mi
Program, debug, meet cycle time requirements, qualify, runoff, Cnc machines for capability runs per the customer specifications. Siemens, Fanuc, Indramat are some of the controllers I have worked on. I have extensive experience with very close tolerances and figuring out how to achieve them. Machining Blocks, cylinder heads, Transmission Cases, Valve bodies, Crankshafts are some of my specialties as well as training the customers how to use the machines.
Prototype Cnc Programmer (July 2002-July 2004)
Line Precision Farmington Hills MI
Program Cnc Machines from print. Create own fixtures for qualifying castings and holding parts for each operation. I had to be very creative with the tooling available very small part runs 4-10 parts with 1-2 setup pieces. Automotive parts mostly aluminum some magnesium casting experience.
Cnc Application Engineer (Jan 2000-July 2002)
CM Smillie Co.
Programming and setting up Haas CNC machines cutting copper weld guns and Cylinders end caps. I was in charge of a team of operators and had to meet deadlines and keep all machines running parts for night shift part runs.

Prototype CNC programmer (1997-1999)
Eagle engineering (a division of the PICO Group)
Programming setup and running of various details for the machine shop on 2 Fadal vertical CNC machines. Made multiple modular fixture details for easy set ups. I helped in the design of special tool racks with holders for tools already set for quicker setups.
Programming on the fly right on the machine for emergency repairs for a line that was down.
CNC operator (1995-1997)
