Academic Projects:
Remote Electronic Throttle Control (ETC- BOSCH DV E5) via Control Area Network (CAN) MTU Dec 2019
• Established and tested CAN communication between two ECU’s using Motohawk blocks
• Used CANking -Kvaser CAN bus to monitor and analyze the data fields and compared it with the values displayed in Moto tune
• Achieved controlled mass airflow through the ETC of DV E5 and Pedal of Ford Using Discrete PID algorithm Development of Hybrid Electrical Vehicle Powertrain Controller using Simulink MTU Nov 2019-Dec 2019
• Designed Model Based HEV Controller in real-time using Simulink, Stateflow (State Machine), MotoHawk Blocks and was prototyped on MotoTron Desktop I/O simulator (Freescale MPC565 ECU) using autocode generation from scratch
Development of hybrid vehicle drive train controller using State-flow Jan 2019
• Developed Series and parallel powertrain controller with inputs of APP, BPP, SOC and velocity.
• Validated four parallel states of controller: Charging, Battery protection, Blending and Braking against known set of inputs.
Intelligent Cruise control MTU Oct 2019
• Designed a Simulink model for velocity controller to maintain vehicle speed when any lead vehicle is greater than a safe distance.
• Implemented headway controller which maintained safe distance when the lead vehicle is sufficiently close.
• Intelligent cruise control implemented in Stateflow which needs 19 second to intelligently switch between these two controls when necessary
Fuel Control in a Spark Ignition Engine MTU April 2019
• Developed a feedforward transient fuel system to compensate for rapidly changing throttle settings
• A feedback system that uses the ego sensor output and computes a modification to the fuel flow using Smith predictor was designed.
