Duties include modeling and print detail work for the following: Core Build Tooling, Braze Fixtures, Weld Fixtures, Assembly Fixtures, and Check Fixtures. Core Build requires: Compression Bars, Backing Plates, and Braze Fixtures. I made Weld Fixtures for welding tanks to cores using a trunion to spin to weld the backside of the tank. I made Assembly Fixtures using scissor carts and turntables to create comfortable height conditions to save assembly time for operators. I made Check Fixtures for leads with a lot of complex angles for Paccar Steel coolers. I helped design a large fully automated Crimp Machine for crimping plastic tanks on Radiators.
Koyker Manufacturing, Lennox, SD February 2014 - June 2015 CAD Drafter
Duties included making instruction sheet prints with exploded views with BOM Balloons for loader mounts and hydraulic kits. I made a Wild Hog Feeder Assembly Manual which included an exploded view with parts and hardware to assist the consumer in assembling the product. There were 27 assembly steps involved in that process. I updated manuals for Grain Bin Sweeps and Loaders. I did a lot of part and assembly print detail work for the following: Loader Mounts, Grain Bin Sweeps, Grain Bagger Unloader and made PDF, DXF for release as requested. Duties included making 3-D Models of heat exchangers in both steel and aluminum construction for Flame Braze, Vacuum Braze, and CAB (Continuous Atmosphere Braze). Designed parts for CNC Stamping, Press Stamping, Laser Cutting, Waterjet Cutting, Roll Forming, etc. I took an early concept idea from Engineering to the prototype stage to multiple revisions all the way to production and service. Serviced customers such as John Deere, Caterpillar, Case New Holland, Bobcat, Freightliner, etc. Produced an Engineering Change Notice (ECN) upon completion of the production drawings to document what revision the production drawing was at. Produced Iges files of 3-D models along with a DXF of the final print and sent off to customers. After production, if there was a change that needed to be made, I filled out an Engineering Change Release (ECR),
