Quality Engineer

- Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure that they satisfy quality standards and industry codes and standards both visually and through the use of measuring devices

- Inspect parts to ensure conformance to design specifications, including tolerances, physical criteria, etc.

- Coordinate the overall quality specifications and standards for materials, processes, and finished products to meet customer purchase order requirements

- Work in partnership with manufacturing management to eliminate the causes of quality problems

- Identify and label all quality defects; generate Non Conformance Reports (NCR) for components, procedures, etc., which do not meet the applicable requirements

- Be responsible for driving quality for assigned suppliers, improving quality performance via Quality Plan implementation

- Drive Six Sigma quality internally and with suppliers

- Act as consultant to the Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering organizations to improve Quality and Manufacturing processes, introduce new products and improve product design

- Upload Test & Assembly inspection documentation into Quality Assurance (QA) records database

- Control all gauges and test equipment must periodic calibration

- Lean/5S project management, process reviews and improvements

- Apply the methods and procedures prescribed in the Quality System

- Apply standard quality tools to perform Root Cause Analysis for Corrective and Preventive Actions

- Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing and servicing processes

- Interfaces with customers and suppliers on all quality related issues improvement

- Provide leadership role during investigations of major problems and of special projects
