Responsibilities and Scope as Safety Officer

1. Understand the requirements of the project HSE Plan to ensure project HSE Plan and company IMS HSE management system is implemented in daily work activities on site or in area of responsibility.

2. Perform HSE induction for all new employees in line with Company and Project site HSE rules and regulations in the language understood by them. 3. Assist Sr. HSEO in scheduling, arranging and delivering HSS/B2B training effectively to site employees to increase and maintain high level of HSE awareness. 4. Prepare B2B HSE training records using training passport in combination with training stickers and attendance sheets independently and / or in coordination with the HSE staff. 5. Communication of HSE Policy, applicable legal requirements, HSE information and lessons learned time to time to all project personnel / in area of responsibility. 6. Participate in / facilitate preparation, review and modifications of risk assessments as required; foe all activities, facilities including camp accommodation and transportation. 7. Assist Supervisors to complete accident / incident forms for on-site and off-site accidents related to project employees’ vehicles.

8 Lead / Participate in accident / incident investigation and reporting as necessary and follow-up the corrective actions until completion.

9. Monitor safe transportation, storage, handling and disposal of chemicals on site as applicable. 10. Ensure tools and equipment including vehicles are inspected, tested and color coded as required by relevant procedure and inspection recorded using appropriate form. 11. Ensure emergency response preparedness provisions / plans in place and awareness amongst site employees.

12. Assist Sr. HSEO conduct emergency drills for identified emergencies on project site as per required frequency.

13. Ensure waste is segregated, stored and disposed properly and log maintained. 14. Perform inspection of fire detection and firefighting equipment regularly and report findings to concern in time for corrective actions.

15. Perform Level 1 HSE inspections as stated in project HSE Plan / corporate / regional HSE Site Inspections procedure and ensure senior management, level 2 and level 3 inspections are performed.

16. Monitor work area environment through the pro-active enforcement of HSE Rules and Regulations.

17. Advice / guide employees on selection, use, limitations, maintenance and storage of personal protective equipment and monitor the compliance.

18. Closely monitor the compliance with permit to work system as applicable. 19. Ensure work platforms are safe to use and meets site requirements related to access, egress and work platforms.

20. Monitor provisions made for heat stress management during hot weather. 21. Regular inspection of first aid facility and replenishment of required items. Record inspection in appropriate form.

22. Monitor subcontractors HSE compliance with KENTZ rules and regulations on site and provide feedback to project management.

23. Prepare and submit necessary reported to Sr. HSEO / Project HSE Manger / Site Manger / project Manager and Country HSE Manger.
