“Strategically guide engineering business to gain competitive advantage, by innovatively transforming its management practices to integrate a quality assuring system into the engineering design culture while fulfilling projects goals” PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
With 22 years of oil and gas industry experience that extended through divergent organizations and roles, innovatively overcoming challenges and achieving results, and creating distinctive character in the projectized functions managed, I embrace a valuable collectivity of expertise. More, continuously pursuing professional development, sustaining up to date knowledge by networking with scientific journals and professional societies, and always seeking the theoretical foundation of functional roles, will ensure the organization that new knowledge and continuous improvement is the norm in my management assignments. The depth and width of knowledge and experience, and the competent comfort in both bird-eye system view and nitty-gritties of technical zones equipped me with an all-perspective understanding of industry and ability to play versatile added-value functions in management. In essence, I can assume an organizational role as wide as serving to assure performance of engineering and projects, a preference, to engineering or project management. Below is chronological overview of my career so far.
My last and recent role as a quality and innovation manager transcended the typical quality assurance responsibilities into exploring and leading the organizational initiatives to drive the company to operational excellence. This entailed systematic analysis of procedural shortfalls to continually improve the quality management system and establish a quality assuring processes that measure the right metrices to control the organization performance. As part of this designation, amid the current situation of Jacobs’ ECR being acquired by WorleyParsons, both companies trusted me to lead the merging of the Assurance workstream, which includes HSE, risk management, and quality assurance. Earlier and dominantly, my role as the engineering manager for Saudi Aramco’s Maintain Potential Program within GES+ context comprised three operational goals: (1) Managing the engineering design projects with optimized resource utilization governed by client dictated constraints of schedule milestones and design quality, (2) Planning, monitoring, and controlling the balance between developing local technical knowledge and projects bottom line, and
(3) Analyzing key technical issues in coherent joint effort with both project engineers and discipline leads, making hard decisions, defining solution roadmaps, and formally communicating with client management. The strategic drivers of the role are reflections of the continuous effort to enhance the engineering practices, meet the client program expectations, and positively influence the business bottom line by increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of work performed and leveraging the design latest technology. In essence, the objective is to bridge the interests of engineering and project management by the common business needs. It worth mentioning that in parallel I have been undertaking some strategic studies for the client’s forecasting and logistics department that assessed selective materials supply capacities, critiqued the company’s modularization adoption model in upstream sector, and defined a framework of material sourcing management.
Prior to Jacobs’ tenure that started in mid-2016, my career evolved through the domain of Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineering where I built an 18 years rich and profound experience in oil and gas industry that spanned plant operations, construction, and engineering design sectors that is primarily pertinent, but not limited, to the field of instrumentation, automation and control. That diverse professional journey included eleven years as Saudi ENGINEERING MANAGER,

RESUME
Aramco employee at Berri’s gas processing plant where I was responsible for control systems’ configuration and maintenance, process controls implementations, and a key member in few mega projects from ground-zero conceptual design to commissioning phase. Following a long lived experience at Saudi Aramco, I opted to move on to an engineering design office (ZFP) where I spent three years as a lead engineer for two packages of the grass root Total-Saudi Aramco refinery before joining the construction site, from July 2012 to July 2014, with GCC employer as a specialist consultant supporting construction and commissioning of ten pipelines serving the same refinery. Since then, I have moved back to engineering design sector where I served ‘SCN Lavalin Fayez Engineering’ for two years before joining ‘Jacobs’ in June 2016. Enabled by analytical approaches to engineering decision making, knowledge of project management practices, and ability to maneuver between the granular details and the integrated perspective, I was an innovative contributor that exhibited proficient track record of providing expert technical advice and guidance at diverse roles.

SELECTIVE HIGHLIGHTS (KEY ACHIEVEMENTS)
GWU
Capstone Project (Thesis): Technical Staffing at Engineering Organizations. JACOBS ZATE
Restructured the Quality Assurance Department and redefined functions, roles, and responsibilities. Prepared for and successfully achieved ISO9001 certification for the company. Substantially improved the quality audit program for project management and engineering in terms of planning, executing, and reporting. Created insightful add-value quality reporting for the client and management review. Radically revised the structure and content of the engineering quality control procedure.
Planning, scope defining, technically supervising, monitoring, and control of innovative transformation of design to 3D modeling. The key value of the initiative was the automation of material reports extraction, which was based on pre-standardization of material for oil and gas wells tie-ins design.
Innovative research studies while in special assignment with Saudi Aramco’s F&LD: o Analysis of Delivery Shortfalls in Internal-Coated Pipes o Demand-Supply Analysis of Cladded Spools & Pipes o Supply Chain Assessment of OMPPD Forecasted Material o Critical Evaluation of Modularization Adoption (Gas Wells Tie-in) SNC LAVALIN FAYEZ ENGINEERING
Mastermind of the multi-discipline FEED of the boilers replacement project at Berri Gas Plant
DCS-PLC comparison study for Safaneya Plant
EPC company named Gulf Consolidated Contractors Co. (GCCC)
SATORP’s pipelines project was doomed to fail because of poor engineering design, wrong material specifications, and construction schedule delays. Within combined multi-discipline effort, led the control, instrumentation and electrical team to realign the project through technical guidance to successful commissioning. The critical decision taken that facilitated the attainment of goal is to take responsibility of design at site rather than pursuing long negotiation of design office contractual liabilities. ZFP Engineering Consulting Office
Author and leader of innovative auto ship-loading control scheme for SATORP. The process control narrative was the foundation for complex programming by the DCS (Invensys) vendor to manipulate pumping, control valves, and safety devices from the refinery tank farm to the ship tanker at port. RESUME
Saudi Aramco
Planning, execution, testing, and commissioning of the migration of the gas compressors’ controls from legacy DCS to Triconex system. The first company’s implementation of compressors control in programmed logic blocks (open platform) after domination by black-box CCC.
The first to contemplate and implement the input validation logic when safety systems introduced analog input cards.
Innovative architect and logic designer of the control scheme that integrated the master pressure control of BGP steam boilers with the introduction of cogeneration trains. WORK PROFILE
