1. Government Medical Officer: MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND CHILD CARE, ZIMBABWE 26/10/2017 to 29/01/2020
Responsibilities included
- Prevention, treatment, care and support of patients with Malaria, Pneumonia, Malnutrition, Cardiovascular diseases, Diarrhea, Diabetes, HIV/AIDS, TB, STIs and other related problems.
- Reproductive, maternal and newborn health (Family planning, ANC, labour and delivery, PNC and post abortion care).
- Carrying out surgical procedures such as Caesarian section, incision & drainage of abscess, bilateral tubal ligation, evacuation of RPOCs from uterus, removal of lipomas.
- Involved in various philanthropic missions by Italians such as Cardiac Camp (doing ECG, ECHOs & Warfarin Project), ENT Camp (assisting in removal of neck masses & biopsy), Gynaecology Camp (carrying out Pap smear, cervical & breast cancer screening), Obstetrics Camp (use of CTG, upskilling methods of Cesarean section, breech delivery & vacuum extraction) and Internal Medicine Camp (intensive course in basic ultrasound scans, USS guided biopsy, catheterization and drainage of collections)
