CNATRA Relocation and Historical Renovation of Building Headquarters. Headed up team that relocated The Central Navy Air Training Command to hanger for long term operation while a complete frame off reconstruction of the very 1st HQ Naval Air Training building. Maintained existing infrastructure of BLDG. 11 & 12, while conducting reconstruction and modernization of BLDG. 1. Team leader that for the past 4 years. Facilitated and coordinated ongoing communication building for entire base, which includes D.O.D CCADD helicopter re-manufacturing plant and Naval air training and flotilla support operations. Developed Overall Project Schedule and all schedules for ongoing construction on a 5 acres site. Developed orientation procedures and SWPPP plan and implantation. This project value is $20 mm and encompasses a 40,000 s.f. wood frame structure built in 1941. It has a central HVAC chiller and boiler system, with elevator and secure communication building envelope systems. Site work and complete new underground domestic water, fire water, Fiber cabling, power and sewer systems where constructed. Asbestos, lead, and mold abatement was conducted and cleared prior to construction under my supervision.
Completed site development for United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Texas Chenier Complex, $18.5 mm, 24 acres site, 180,000 square feet, all new complete underground infrastructure (Storm, detention pond, sewer with lift station, domestic water, propane distribution, electrical and communications)
Keller Intermediate School, Keller ISD, Fort Worth Texas. $12mm, 84,000 square foot carton slab with structural steel 2 story class room area and load bearing CMU masonry walls for the gymnasium. Responsible for weekly scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
West Elementary, White Settlement Independent School District. Assisted existing team in completing project on time.
Started and completed a $6mm 20,000 square foot Learning Center for Crème De La Crème with theme park type atmosphere. Constructed of load bearing steel stud framing with a masonry veneer.
Assumed responsibility as lead superintendent to complete the Dallas Police Headquarters and completed 22,000 item punch list that was created by a defunct project team. 1st ever Lead Silver Building in Dallas.
Texas A&M Engineering Building, $13mm concrete structure located in Galveston, Texas. This building is supported by an “Auger Pressure Grouted Pile” system and is a cast in place concrete frame with pan formed slab including roof structure. Responsible for providing a self-perform concrete team allowing cost savings for budget considerations. Assumed buy-out responsibility of structural steel, concrete, waterproofing and roofing sections resulting in $480m of cost savings.
Played a vital role in the development and procurement of K thru 12 work totaling $50mm with the Mansfield Independent School District. Duties included job closeout, warranty work for Federal Home Land Bank and Lennox World Headquarters. Subcontractor development, estimating, scheduling and marketing for K thru 12 projects. As superintendent built the Summit Theater, $3.5mm and the built the former North Campus High School for MISD, $23.5mm.
Played a key role in recruiting employees and subcontractors in an effort to procure public work. Duties included estimating, marketing and interviewing with prospective clients and architects, job budgets, analysis, writing contracts, scheduling, expediting and cost reporting. Projects of responsibility primarily included AISD, Green Oaks Junior High, Arlington, TX ($13mm) and MISD Imogene Gideon Elementary and Kenneth Davis Elementary Schools ($12.5mm). Assisted in estimating on several projects creating a 50% increase in back log over a period of 9 months. Superintendent on Gideon Elementary. School completed on schedule and budget.
Project – SMU Gerald Ford Football Stadium, University Park, TX $67mm project. 32,000 seat concrete 5 stories with all sports building. Marcus High School addition & renovations. 2-story steel & concrete with classrooms, labs, kitchen. Mansfield H.S. North Campus in Arlington, TX, $21mm project. 6-buildings totaling 194,956 square feet on a 60-acre site. Included in the project are a 2584 seat 1field, tennis courts and 1364 space parking lot. Project completed on schedule and on budgeted fee.
Project - Sears Department Store and Auto Center @ Ocoee, FL $5.5mm project. 147,000 square feet. 2-story steel frame building with detached auto center. Responsible for owner/architect and subcontractor administration. Project completed on schedule and on budget.
Project - Seminole Towne Center Mall @ Sanford, FL $24mm project. 500,000 square foot regional mall. Responsible for completing interior portion of work. Project completed on schedule despite structural fabrication delays prior to my involvement.
Project - Texas A&M International University @ Laredo, TX $32mm project. 274,000 square foot new campus situated on 42 acres with plant and site development. Responsible for self- performing 28% of these 4 casts in place concrete structures. Components included masonry, granite, limestone and a 30-foot quarter sphere skylight dome, which served as focal point for main campus building. Hired and trained field staff exceeding 100 people. Responsible for supervision of layout, concrete forming, pouring, scheduling and labor budget forecasting.
Project - Tulsa Ballet Theatre and HQ @ Tulsa, OK $1mm project. Converted this abandoned school building into a 38,000 square foot ballet headquarters which included dance studio. Several future contracts were obtained as a result of this successful project.
Project - John Zink Office/Manufacturing Plant Facility (Koch Industries) @ Tulsa, OK $20mm project. As office engineer, reviewed shop drawings, expedited materials, assisted in project administration, and in final stages of project, assisted superintendent in field operations. This project was completed on schedule and on budget.
Project - Pacer Fitness Center / Baptist Medical Center @ Oklahoma City, OK $1.5mm project. 24,000 square foot pre-engineered building addition also included 30,000 square foot renovation. As superintendent, self-performed concrete and finishes. Completed this project on schedule and on budget while the fitness center remained open.
Project - Oklahoma County Jail @ Oklahoma City, OK $43mm project. Building consisted of 14 levels of cast in place concrete, which included a basement level that houses the Sheriff’s office. A total of 1200 individual cells house medium security prisoners. As office engineer, responsible for reviewing shop drawings, material procurement. Expediting owner and architect correspondence, subcontractor correspondence, meeting minutes, and document control. Played a key role in this project being completed 3 months ahead of schedule and 3.5% above the estimated profit margin.
Project - River Center Mall/Rand Theatres @ San Antonio, TX $6mm project demolition and renovation of top 2 floors of existing structure while bottom 2 floors remained occupied by department store. As foreman, responsible for demolition of concrete slab, columns and beams. Promoted to office engineer after demolition phase completed on schedule and under budget.
