1993-1998 Salt Lake City School District. Afterschool group leader for high risk 5-6 grade elementary girls.
1999-2000 Utah Alcoholism Foundation. Substance Abuse Counselor. 40 hours per week. Facilitated psycho social rehabilitative groups teaching interpersonal life skills.
2000-2002 Volunteers of America Adult Detox and Center for Women and Children. Only Case manager for 20 clients. 40 hours per week. Assessment and referral to treatment. Developed phase levels for women waiting for treatment and developed groups to teach relapse coping skills.
2002-2003 Volunteers of America Day Treatment. 40 hours per week. Case manager/LSAC. Taught substance abuse education, relapse prevention skills, meditation, life skills, relationship and parenting skills. Assisted with referrals to housing and mental health agencies.

Assist with referrals to housing, and voc-rehab. Collaborated with DCFS and probations services through monthly team meetings, attended Drug Court Staff meetings and helped develop the phase levels and the educational material for each level. I taught our aftercare program, and developed curriculum for the group on relapse prevention skills.
2015-2018 ASUDC at Valley Behavioral Health, CORE for men, CORE2 for women and Recovery management programs. I taught behavior groups to addicted, mentally ill, criminal men and women on CBT and DBT skills, criminal and addictive behaviors and thinking errors, addiction, learning relapse prevention skills, coping skills to manage PTSD triggers, understanding PTSD and addiction with Seeking Safety curriculum.
2018-2019 Valley Behavioral Health, Valley EPIC. I was the first ASUDC on the newly developed campus for men and women and was expected to maintain the structure for program and make sure clients were learning needed skills to remain sober. I wrote the phase work, found the educational materials for each phase, and have developed the program for 3 men’s houses and 1 woman’s house. I work with 20 men whom I meet individually with each week, develop care plans, and teach Criminal and Addictive thinking, Seeking Safety, Accountability skills, and Assertive communication skills. I also developed a leadership group with the women and men to help clients learn skills needed to be leaders in a Theraputic community. I worked closely with my staff on the men’s unit to help them maintain the program structure and make sure rules are being followed. After developing a phase system, I developed a list of behavior changes needed in order to move through the phase system. I received MRT training while at EPIC.
2019-2020 Next Level Recovery. I am working as ASUDC. I facilitate 3 hour groups daily, which include: Criminal and Addictive Thinking, Seeking Safety, Relapse Prevention, within my relapse prevention education I include a Self Esteem education, Assertive Communication education, Critical Thinking Skills, and teach Karpman Triangle. I complete clinical assessments with new clients, and meet individually with my clients weekly, and update treatment plans with them monthly. I write weekly Drug Court Reports, and P.O. reports. I have received certification in grief counseling.
