Full time Research Assitant: Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, NY, June 2014 - June 2015. Participated in several research projects. Duties include investigation and coordination, data collection, data analyses and manuscripts preparation. Following are the projects that I was involved in,

-A prospective, multi-center, single-arm study of the Stomach, Intestinal and Pylorus Sparing (SIPS) procedure.

-Detection of gene expression mRNA changes following Vertical sleeve gastrectomy and SIPS.

-Left Gastric Artery Embolization for glycemic control and Weight loss.

-Changes in Cognitive outcomes following bariatric surgery

Post-Graduate Research: University of London, Queen Mary, London, UK, September 2011- September 2012, “Comparison of Surgical Outcomes between Robotic and Conventional Laparoscopy in Gastric Bypass Surgery: A Systematic Review”. Thesis (>15,000 words) presented as a part of the MSc. Distinction awarded.

Introducing medical students to basics of laparoscopic instruments handling.

Supervising them while performing the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Skills (FLSTM) tasks.

Teaching how to perform tasks 1-5 of the FLSTM curriculum (includes laparoscopic suturing).
