Work Exposure summary:

The project involves upgradation activity for 13 Omega land OTS refinery models spread across 3 plants of Cosmo Oil Company, Japan from V2.5.2a to V3.2.2. The upgradation activity also includes replacing the RSView graphic files with Omega land Graphic function.

Responsibilities

Develop Linked Parts and Faceplate for the FOP graphics.

Conversion RSView graphics to GMR graphics.

Testing all the graphics with model and prepare report for OSC.

Software Tools Used – Visual Modeler, RSView, GMR.

Working and engineering knowledge in YOKOGAWA’s Visual Modeler (GUI based dynamic simulation tool).

Working and engineering knowledge in Graphics building tools like GLG tool and Yokogawa Omega land graphics builder.

Honeywell OTS projects:

Worked for various petrochemical projects under Honeywell. I have worked with the Honeywell tools like Unisim design R.450 and Unisim design R.460.

I have worked in the modelling and simulation for FCC unit, DCU unit, CCR and all other utility parts for projects like BRITISH PETROLEUM, KUWAIT NATIONAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION, KARBALA REFINERY, IRAQ.

2. Organization: AlKhorayef Company for Sale, Maintenance & Repair of Oil

Production

Position : Production/field Engineer

Period : From January 2016 to July 2018

Projects worked:

LSTP(S)-KOC – Lower Fars Heavy oil Project & Large scale thermal pilot plant

And GATHERING CENTRE (GC-16)

Designed, Procured, Constructed &Commissioned, maintain and operating a Large scale thermal pilot plant in order to test the thermal operation (Cyclic steam stimulation & Steam flood methods) on lower fars reservoir in North Kuwait for KOC.

Involved in the daily operations and maintenance activities which includes the process and control system. And preventive jobs as per schedule and operation maintenance jobs over separator, Desalters, compressors, vru and tank farms.

Familiar with oil manifolds, HP, & LP separators (Two/Three Phase), Booster Pumps, Desalters, Crude Transfer Pumps, Chemical Injection, Gas/Oil line Pigging Operations, Fuel Gas Scrubber, Slug Catcher, Knockout Drum, Air Compressor and routine sampling of Oil. Gas Compressor, Inter-stage Scrubbers, Gas Treatment, Glycol Regeneration Unit, Gas Export. Isolation and De-isolation of equipment, Vessels and Tanks for Maintenance.

3.Organization: EURO VINEGAR PVT LTD.,

Position : Junior production engineer

Period : From 15 may 2015 to Jan 20 2016

Product : Natural vinegar

OPERATION DESCRIPTION:

This is one of the three plants in India which produces natural vinegar with a 0% discharge. This is highly profitable plant in which decomposition and fermentation is the major process. The potable water is processed and mixed with alcohol and bacteria. The fermentation takes place for 48 hours in an anaerobic condition and thus the product is achieved which contains 95% water, 3% alcohol and 2 %of bacteria.

DCS Operation Responsibilities:

To operate, control & monitor various plant operating parameters and record readings in log sheets, making production reports, with Supervisor for the smooth and efficient functioning of the Plant.

Recover plant from any emergency shutdown and minimize loss of production, whilst adhering to operating procedures.

Checks results of product sample tests and makes adjustment in unit conditions as necessary to obtain desired specifications

Ensures controllers, alarm summary, and process parameters in the DCS panel, as well as field Instruments and process variables are in good order.

Periodic maintenance, test and recalibration of all instruments be undertaken.

Operate and monitor safety control systems ESD (Emergency Shut Down), F&G or FGS (Fire and Gas Systems),

A good knowledge about TDS (trip defeat system).

Job responsibilities during commissioning:

Commissioning and Pre-commissioning of Reactors, Fractionation columns, Planning Start-up, Cold Alignments.

Card board blasting, System flushing, chemical cleaning, Hydro testing, Steam blowing, Vessel inspection etc.

Inspection of Piping system, Spacing, Material & Class of Gaskets, Flange, Valves (sizing, rating type, flow directions, instrument calibration etc.)

Check the P&ID diagrams and preparing the punch lists and follow-up the mechanical and instrumentation teams.

Following the pneumatic test to all flanges for final plant leak testing and Nitrogen purging.
