After Market Supply Chain Material Planner

The Material Planner is responsible for the analysis of purchase requisitions and purchase orders, planning of orders to be placed, issuance of purchase orders to suppliers and the sourcing of parts as required. Additional responsibilities include forecast creation based upon parts consumption data, planning for known seasonal variances and highlighting of new usage trends to management.

Plans all purchased parts and makes decisions to release, firm, cancel, or defer work based upon current inventory versus demand. Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels to support Mean Down Time (MDT) contractual requirements.

Places and maintains purchase orders and works with suppliers to expedite or defer materials as dictated by changes in internal and external customer requirements. Works independently with suppliers to manage material supply to ensure on time deliveries.

Initiates problem resolutions with Accounts Payable related to purchase orders, invoicing and pricing.

Maintains accurate purchase order information in the SAP system. Modifies order release due dates, quantities, and closes purchase orders, etc, based on planning demand.

MRP planning of Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods: Use MRP and ERP functionality to plan and ensure that manufacturing resources are scheduled and used efficiently to produce customer orders that meet required delivery dates, quantities, quality, and order requirements. Communicate weekly production schedules and confirm acceptance by manufacturing leadership.

Capacity Management: Assess capacity plan to ensure that work centers are loaded and sequenced to meet delivery requirements within the constraints of both available manpower and machine time.

Sourced and engaged equipment vendors/contractors, negotiated purchases and follow-up delivery for factory equipment; pack-out line was more flexible and efficient than a line twice the cost.

Created a method to clean the wax-caked production belt; increased per capita productivity.
