Roles & Responsibilities
To create and maintain a safety management system to ensure safety of Men, Machinery and Materials.
Educating and creating an awareness of safety ensuring safety equipment is in place.
Maintaining safe working environment in the plant in collaboration with all HODs.
Ensuring availability of personal protective equipment to all employees.
Prepare and maintain of all EHS related documents and submittal of the same to Corporate office.
Prepare / update and implement of SWMS & Job Safety Analysis for the existing and new work activities
Investigating accidents and initiating corrective/preventive action to eliminate unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
Conducting safety committee meetings and reviewing / implementing the recommendations made.
Safety related to handling and usage of compressed gas cylinders.
Maintaining good housekeeping all the times.
Inspection of lifting equipment and lifting appliances.
Regular in terms of implementing safety programs like LOTO, JHA, and HAZCOM.
An adequate supply of protective clothing and equipment is available and issued to operatives. The operatives are aware of their responsibilities regarding the wearing of such equipment, continuously observed all workers behavior, maintained good relationship with all employees and management, mainly developing accountability for the workers.
Ensure to display signs, posters all over work place and barrier for machine and materials to warn of potential and actual safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous conditions.
Carry out inspection on construction site and advises on various EHS issues to construction team.
