Operations & Maintenance
Hands on diagnosis, repair and overhaul of various types of rotating equipment, such as single and multistage pumps, steam turbines, compressors, gearboxes, and valves.
Monitor, control and take part in directing the quality of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities carried out by Mechanical teams.
Responsible for writing and implementing standard maintenance procedures for all static and rotating equipment of the plant.
Review, analyze, and identify bad actors of equipment, participate in RCFA mixed discipline reviews and execute the recommendations.
Review and analyze the data from vibration monitoring and oil sample testing. Use this data to predict failures, increased risk of failure and to develop plans for extending the run life of mechanical equipment.
Initiating for FIR (first information report) and finally submitting root cause analysis for any break down or repetitive failure in the plant. Assure for the implementation of the recommendations in the field to avoid any reoccurrence.
Responsible for planning, scheduling & execution of minor and major shutdown/turn over jobs for the equipments like steam boiler and Gas turbines, product crude oil train equipments, water injection area equipments, desalination plant equipments, utility equipments etc.
Supervisory experience with Safe Work Permitting systems (PTW), Mechanical/Process isolation, tagging procedures, confined space entry and familiar with H2S operations.
Participates in technical studies concerning water/gas injection and artificial lift projects, oil and gas operations, facilities optimization or modification, as assigned.
Responsible for recording all maintenance history by regular updating in the system.
Responsible for keeping the business critical & non critical equipment health at its best by effective utilization of predictive maintenance tools like lube oil analysis, vibration monitoring & thickness measurement.
Coordinate with third party vendor for specialized services like hydro jetting of heat exchanger, on line sealing, valve servicing, Pressure safety valve servicing,Diesel engine servicing, lifting tools and tackles testing /calibration etc. Same followed by report preparation and submission as maintenance history.
Identifying the channel of communication with OEMs and vendors for smooth maintenance support. Developing new vendors by continuous market search to get the best from market at optimum cost.
Provide support and Technical assistance to the project team for upcoming expansions by reviewing engineering drawings and documents. Sharing lesson learnt with project team for betterment of upcoming facility.
Generate the MTBF & MTTR trend for all critical equipments to improve further on.
Provides technical direction to subordinates on fault finding diagnosis and repairs.
Coordinate with various discipline engineers and Conduct classroom and on the job trainings for the Graduate Engineer trainees and fellowmen.
