Design modifications as per the new changes and the preparation of drawings for the designed components, Assemblies by implementing the GD&T considerations.

Design changes for Vienna Flexity Tram

As per the Customer requirement the enlargement of the Width of the Under frame, Roof and End portal Structure was done after a distance of 50mm from the Centre of the Vehicle on both sides of the car.

The Outside Girders Structure assembly is moved by 50mm on both sides to get the Width of the under frame Structure as 2.4m and check and modify the Parts and assemblies as per the DFMA standard principles.

The Corresponding Assemblies and parts due to the width enhancement are created newly and updating of primary and assembly drawings as per 3D modifications.

DMU clash analysis check for the assemblies level and car levels and resolving them by modifying the design.

Tool used: Part-modeling module, Generative sheet metal using CATIA V5, ENOVIA VPM & SAP.

Drivers desk & cab exteriors design optimization of Gothenburg Tram – supported from onsite Germany

Driver’s desk design of Cab and Cab exteriors, which are very important for the aesthetic look of the new vehicle

Received input surfaces from the styling team and modified the flaps design of control equipment, which are essential for driver access.

Modifications of cab exterior parts design as per customer requirement and created mounting brackets to fix them with the car within the available limited space.

Tool used: Generative shape design and Generative Sheet metal using CATIA V5, ENOVIA VPM & SAP.

Interior design and drafting support for Adelaide EMU

Supported for the design of Sidewalls paneling, Ceiling panels and the Roof paneling by taking inputs from the customer about the major changes for the new project, then making the changes accordingly 7and preparation of their drawings.

The structure of this EMU is designed in such a way that can be fit for the both Broad and standard gauges just by changing the Bogies and with the high start acceleration (0.8 m/s2) to meet the South Australia Harsh conditions and with the high top speed (110 km/h) required for Interurban operation.

Tool used: Part modeling, Generative Sheet metal using CATIA V5, ENOVIA VPM& PDM.

Parametric modeling and drafting support for the Flexity trams of Basel, Berlin and De Lijn:

Create parametric modeling of complete car body structure consisting Roof, Sidewalls, End portals and Under frame by taking the existing Catia V4 drawings.

DMU clash analysis for the entire car body structure to ensure the clash free modeling.

The existed dump solids given by the customer and created the entire product structure in VPM with the new material numbers also created the Part, Assembly and Installation drawings with necessary welding and fixing conditions

Conversion and Migration of datasets from V4 to V5 for Boeing - 747/8

Boeing was converting the existing commercial airplanes product definition data from the veteran version CatiaV4 to the new generation version CatiaV5.

The parametric modeling of aft fuselage structure components of Boeing airplane 747/8 with all the customer requirements with the reference of available data in Catia V4.

Tool used: Part modeling, Generative sheet metal design using CATIA V5.

Design of American Chopper assembly, Sun seeker Predator Yacht assembly and Rendering using Solidworks, Skill-Lync

Modeled American Chopper Using Part Modeling Commands and Surface commands.

Rendered the Assembly Model and the parts using the Solidworks Visualize and Photo Realistic View 360.

Worked on casing part, sheet metal box assembly, Enclosures with odd shapes, 2d to 3d creation of metal brackets.

Gained insights on advanced sheet metal options like creation of Beads, Dimples, Flange, Jog, Contour flange, Hem flange, unbend, Re bend, Flattening and Forming, Solid punch, Closed corner and break corner options in sheet metal workbench of UG NX.
